no, he is right. Fairley was only called for one PF against UGA. and nobody is refuting that it was a very bad hit.

I gave him the benefit of the doubt when it looked as though he bent Mallett's bad shoulder backwards as he piledrived him into the ground and caused a concussion.... but every week, it seems I see more and more unnecessary slams on the QBs by him.

Are most legal? Maybe, but completely unnecessary and imo... strictly done to hurt the QB.

Only the one I saw against Murray. When was the other?

I had to quit watching cause I went in the bama game. But at one point CBS had a pop up on the broadcast that stated he had 3 pfs.

On passing plays, he primarily focuses on the quarterback and defenders approaching him. The referee rules on possible roughing the passer and, if the quarterback loses the ball, determines whether it is a fumble or an incomplete pass.

This is the responsibility of the referee on pass plays. If Fairley is doing HALF of what is claimed on this board, he'd be getting PF's every play. The Referee is literally standing right there watching Fairley and the QB.

You could show video of Fairley shiving a cheerleader and the Auburn fan response would be, "Good hustle."

ya see, Ms. Karma is going to follow-up with their entire program. They can sit over here monitoring every anti-Auburn (as they see it) thread and stick their heads as deep as possible in the sand, but their goose is slow cooking as the season progresses. SMU Part 2......and it will be so deserving.

besides, IF there were any chop blocks it was self-inflicted.
this. AU chop blocks Dorsey because they can't block him does not equal UGA chopping Fairley because he hitting their QB late every play trying to injure him.

Especially if the refs aren't going to control the game. He shouldve been thrown out not for any one thing he did but the culmination of all of his cheap shots and bullshite.

You can look at the videos for yourself. But you're right the ref is right there. And if there's one thing we know, its that SEC refs are the best and never miss a thing...

no, it stated that Auburn had three personal fouls. One was on Demond Washington and Tavarres(sp?) of UGA. The other was eric smith i believe but i'll have to rewatch it. The third was on Fairley. This is of course before the ending crap. Fairley only had one flag on him all day.

If I am a pitcher, and the ump is a little liberal with the strike zone, i'll be testing it all night. The only difference is that my stretching the strike zone doesn't hurt people.

I think that is a greart comparison. Difference is football is much more violent but if the refs are going to allow certain things, then the players are going to continue playing that way.

man, NCAA sanctions aside, the pistol-whipping you guys are headed for next year by everyone is going to be awesome. You will have Dyer.....and that is it.

Wait, I suppose that'll mean just more dirty play from Aubie:

new mascot will be the Washed-up Old Dirty Bird!

Well then your beef is with the Refs, not Fairley.

No, but I assign responsibility to them. Fairley is "responsible" for playing within the rules. It is one thing if refs are allowing players to jump the snap count, or more contact by the DBs downfield, etc. If refs aren't regulating whether or not a player is allowed to continue to try to injure players, I'm afraid the player that takes advantage of that is culpable as well.

But, the refs are "grownups" in this equation. So are SEC officials, NCAA officials and the Auburn coaching staff. My expectations are low for actual grownup behavior that will be effective.

Good luck defending the indefensible...

So what? No flag was thrown on the play when Glen Dorsey was chop blocked by that other Auburn scumbag. It was still a chop block, just not called. Even the SEC office said the following week it was a missed call.

Fairley is a dirty playing SOB and thinks he's a real a bad arse hitting players in the back and taking shots at knees to try and injure someone.

I would like to see that bastard get in the octagon with Cain Velasquez, Brock Lesnar, or some other UFC Heavyweight to show us all just what a bad arse he really is. He would get the shite kicked out of him and I would enjoy every minute watching it.

It's funny how Aubs have to pull out old videos that are of individuals on single play...

you don't get it. if a flag wasn't thrown, it didn't happen. how hard is that to understand?
I love the sudden respect for the refs that Auburn fans now have.
