Don’t know which cell provider you have but AT&T has a free service that blocks texts / calls from unknown numbers. It’s called ActiveArmor. I’m sure other carriers have something similar.
Almost once a day I get a call or text about tax debt though. I have no tax debt. I’ve blocked their numbers probably ten times and they keep contacting me from new numbers.
