The side of Fairley's helmet is what actually hit Murray's knee. Who intentionally leads with the side of their helmet? We aren't going to agree on this at all because you will obviously watch something differently and with a different bias than I will, but i've played football and been on fairley's end of a play like that, and I had absolutely no control over where I hit the QB. It was almost exactly like what happened there, i nailed the QB's knee and he unfortunately had to have surgery, and no flag was thrown. Its unfortunate just not dirty.

Its hard to choose ok, I'm just throwing that out there The guy is going to suffer a career ending injury no more than 4 games into his NFL career and then he'll do some thug thing after that to get himself thrown in prison. At that point, he'll make everybody in the slammer his bitch because that's the only place (besides Auburn apparently) where somebody like him is respected.

Just because something wasn't flagged, doesn't mean it isn't dirty. Fairley plays dirty, plain and simple. Whether it's flagged or not.

I think a penalty should have been called on the first hit, the late hit, but not the knee (for the same reason).

i agree with you here. The first hit was definitely close, but i wouldn't call it dirty. It definitely could have been flagged for being late by the ref, he just didn't. I will still say the knee was an unfortunate hustle play, but most here won't agree.

Fairley is playing hard and to the whistle. With the exception of the spearing against Murray, everything he's done is within the rules. Don't like it? Change the rules. In the meantime, please stop bitching.

I won't get arrested for screwing around on my wife..but that doesn't mean I'm not a scumbag. There are plenty of defensive players who go after the QB hard, but don't try to injure them once they have them on the ground.

Playing to the whistle is bullshite as well, on most of those plays, the ball is gone and the whistle is away from the offensive backfield.

So you were lunging at him low? That's what your boyfriend is doing on that play.

this. AU chop blocks Dorsey because they can't block him does not equal UGA chopping Fairley because he hitting their QB late every play trying to injure him.

I believe it was Josh Davis who got penalized for the Chop Block in the second quarter. I guess I could be wrong.

Not in Fairley's case...he was trying to hurt him all day long and has a history. He lunged forward and didn't give a shite what he hit or with what...intent to maim.

the last hit wasn't even a dirty shot

the spear was definitely a late hit.

Ball was away for a legit 2 seconds. It was late. Period.

The spear was blatant asshattery. Should've been ejected for that nonsense.

It was unfortunate but Fairley did a title belt dance and Trooper Taylor did a chestbump with him on the sideline to celebrate?

You have it all wrong. Trooper was clearly pissed off and was trying to discipline Fairley.

ONe dirty hit and it was called...i dont see the uproar. If ppl have an issue with those hits, they should call the Rules committee, not bitch about Fairleys hustle.

it was not "hustle".

he tried to injure a key player by hitting him after the play was over, with his helmet, in the back.

he's an asswipe.

He's the kind of guy, when a story hits some day, about some little guy who stabs him in a bar fight, everyone will say, he had it coming.

I am with Russian on the need for refs to eject mf's who try to injure people.

Auburn needs to thank god every day for shady juco players. Without them, they are a below average football team.
