Enlighten me. I don't watch their programming.
A lot of people dislike Trump. I know that chaps Trumpkin arse. Is that it?
FTR, their political leanings are not why the network is struggling

This is what is killing them. People are cutting the cord or only watching live events because of the preachy nature of the "debate" shows and even the "highlight" shows. Those (mostly conservative) people who would watch those shows got tired of being preached at.

I'm happy Dilfer is gone. Maybe now we won't have to hear "dime" every time someone makes a good pass.

Surprised that Russilo made the cut apparently, even in a reduced role. He's far from being a conservative, being from Boston, but he's taken more than a few well deserved shots at ESPN over the yrs, often over its perceived pettiness over some issue.

i understand that but i'm still gonna miss them on my morning drive. ESPN also drives the price of cable and satellite. They are gonna have to raise their rates which is gonna raise the price of tv across the board and i could see it being to the tune of 7-10% increase.

Honestly, I had no idea that ESPN was "pushing a political agenda " before today.
Of course, I don't watch unless it's live sports but where was this happening and why was it so bothersome?
Then it didn't affect you. Many sports fans used to enjoy commentary on the different shows, however. At least until recent years, when there was a noticeable shift in focus from sports commentary to political.

Being from Boston doesn't automatically make someone liberal.
If you listen to Russilo and his perspective on a lot of things, he's about as middle of the road as they come. He tries to approach just about everything through a neutral lens and it lends to him being one of if not the most rational voice at that company.

Looks like Ed Werder and Jay Crawford are the biggest ones so far.

lol at people who think politics is a big influence in this.
People cut the cord because cable is expensive and we have entertainment alternatives now.
We don't need highlight shows and the shows you guys would probably label as their biggest political offenders (the "embrace debate" style shows) draw their highest ratings (which not coincidentally is why people like Stephen A and J Hill don't get fired even though they are annoying)
I know I'm wasting my breath because it's fun and convenient to blame libruls for the downturn of ESPN, when it reality it's just a company losing to the competition in a free market. They were spending money on sports rights deals when they should have been putting more investment into figuring out how to better monetize their digital platform
