Obtw, and appropriately on the day J. Bennett Johnston passes away, thanks to all of you baws (and elders) who gave Louisiana 4 terms of Edwin Edwards.
I'm not from South Louisiana originally (actually from Mississippi and have roots in Northeast Louisiana), but understand how things work in a state and how his actions screwed the majority of the state vs. his hometown. I actually want to have more northern Louisiana influence on state politics, but you don't want my support, so why should I advocate for northern Louisiana?

Screwed over a good part of the state by pushing for Interstate 69 go through the Shreveport area instead of through the center of the state.

Kennedy actually makes good points in committees and asks probing questions. Neither MS senator does that Not that Kennedy is great, but he brings a bit more to the table than they do.
