Better coached players, not better players. Butch has made some very questionable calls.

It's not Butch. It's Gabe. He sets the lineup and makes the in-game offensive calls. He kicked the shite out of it in game 1.

They're sneaky good but how will they fare away from that funhouse ball park they play in is the question

The one where your team hit one homer in three games?

Yet somehow people act like Vitello is so bad

O'Sullivan has anger issues. Vitello is just an a-hole.
He is chewing up innings which is exactly what we needed from him.

pucker up if you’re that willing to defend what is literally an unrecorded stat on the box.

The only "unrecorded stat" is a sac........of which I posted the official rule on sacs. Either a bunt or a fly ball that scores a run.

ETA a BB or hit by pitch is also an 0-0 in the book.......meaning no official AB
quote:

They don’t record the one lol

I'll kiss your bare arse if a FC isn't 0-1.

I played the game from age 6 to 22. I understand the scoring of a book. I played SS. I damn sure know what a FC is.

But there is for reaching on them lol.

correct. 0-1. Which is why Fralick is 0-3.
quote:

We have 0 FCs scored.

there is no stat for FC. That's an 0-1. You said Fralick got a sac. He is 0-3. He has the same number of official AB's as Rembert.

I posted the official definition of a FC.........that isn't AI generated.
quote:

“Yes but you’re arguing “FC” and I take issue with that. Don’t think that is the correct call.”

If it's not a sac.....it has to be an E, a FC, an out, or a hit. There is nothing else it could be.

Here is a more detailed explanation of a FC that isn't AI generated........

quote:

Rule 2 – Section 14 – FIELDER’S CHOICE
2-13-1 A fielder’s choice is the act of a fielder with a live ball, who elects to throw for an attempted putout or to retire unassisted any runner or batter-runner, thus permitting the advance of another runner(s). The scorer decides whether the batter is credited with a safe hit or an extra base hit in accordance with 9-2-2, 9-3-3. Scorers use the term in the following ways:

ETA In other words, if the batter hits the ball, and a runner on base gets out, or the batter gets out, and somebody advances.......it's a FC.
quote:

If what you are saying is true......a flyout advancing a runner from second to third is a sac. It is not. It's an 0-1.

Different situation.

How? You are getting out to advance a runner. It is just in the OF instead of the infield.

Hopefully this puts it to rest.

quote:

There are 2 types of sacrifice ‘hits’. Sacrifice bunts (sac) and sacrifice flys (SF). These are covered in Scoring Rule 10.08.

quote:

No they have to catch the lead.

You are wrong. Please give it up.

There are two sacs..........when you bunt to advance a runner or you sac fly to score a run.

If what you are saying is true......a flyout advancing a runner from second to third is a sac. It is not. It's an 0-1.
quote:

FCs are a well defined thing. That’s when the runner ahead of you is thrown out.

 It's when a fielder makes a decision that either becomes an error or an out.
The box score I posted........he is 0-2.......so it could not have been a sac.
quote:

Wasn’t a fielder’s choice either, by the way. That’s when they make a play at any other base but the batter. Bub advanced. Hence, not a fielder’s choice.

was it Steele who grounded out?

ETA It was Fralick

he is 0-2

Yeah. Shame. Missed an opportunity to blow this mother wide open.

So you just talk shite got it.

I talk shite?

Tilly is our number 2. Means he’s second best not the worst. So all the newbies watch 1 game and know better then Butch how to setup the rotation for the regional.

That showed me you want people to think you are smarter than you actually are.........when it comes to baseball.

ETA Again......the Saturday starter doesn't mean #2. It just means they start on Saturday.
quote:

Was there a runner on first? I may have missed that detail.

Again......a sac is if you advance the runner by bunt or score somebody on a fly ball. Sac are 0-0 in the book. That is the only two ways to get a sac. A groundout to advance a runner is considered a "good out" but it is still 0-1.

ETA A fly out advancing a runner from second to third is 0-1.

Why is asking who the hall of famer funny?

This is the Rant. If I told who was drafted the year after me, how hard would it be to find out who I am?
