Mascona is hinting that lsu is looking at private equity...

LSU is missing the days of $100k in a paper sack closing deals.

Probably not, but reading comprehension really isn’t your thing.

But please keep coming to this site and generating ad revenue for Chicken. LSU and LSU Athletics greatly appreciate your support.

I guess you haven't kept up with our program. We are having the best recruiting class in a decade.

Exactly. It’s July. 8 months after the greatest run of Ole Miss football in a large majority of the fanbases lifetime. 8 months after the previous, highly successful Head Coach basically told the Ole Miss program they are “less than” and left for a rival. Those factors primarily lead to a better than usual class in the short term. People don’t like getting told they are less than. It triggers emotion, which triggers things like donating, and what better time to do it than in the time interest has peaked for a large majority of the fanbases life due to a great season?

Nothing against Golding either. Hell, he might be the next Nick Saban for all we know (we don’t because he’s been a head coach 3 games).

Ole Miss fans trying to convince themselves LSU is strapped for cash while they celebrate the buyout fees from their leaders in sacks and tackles after telling Pete Golding to go frick himself
Problem is y’all are slow playing the payment. LSU was supposed to have made the payment by June 26 for Princewill’s buyout and y’all are asking if it can be made in multiple payments over the next year. Our collective is saying “frick you pay me now”.

Well, it's what LSU fans say whenever a story comes out about a different school doing the same thing.

It sounds like all ADs are doing anymore is trying to find a way to sell commercial rights for a one-time cash injection. The problem is, it is a public institution. So they're trying to find ways to privatize it to make this happen.

At first it will be some domestic companies, like "Monster Energy Big 12." They don't want to spook anyone too soon. But, the end result they want is that we end up with the Qatar Airways LSU Tigers playing the Gazprom Florida Gators, etc.

It's not just sportswashing. A whole raft of new corruption will come with it. Appreciate what we still have while we have it.

That would absolutely be the death knell of college football.

LSU athletics really giving that "if I can't have her, no one will" aura.

I don’t think that comment about your school is directed at everyone. A lot of us are handling our expenses just fine. Our AD was literally hired bc he had a plan to make this era sustainable without begging donors.

That's why your AD was asking for money in October.

Yep. I think the University will probably have to close.

Who will live rent free in your head then?

You guys spent $80M to get rid of Kelly, made Lane one of the highest paid, spent $40M on a transfer class. Then the Wade and Basketball transfers, and then upping the baseball spending.

We take small transfer classes and spend more on recruiting, which is cheaper.

We all don’t have the same expenses or the same donor base, access to money, or the same earnings per athletic department.

No need to project your expenses as if everyone is in your shoes and generalizing donor dollar access as if it’s equal at each school as a rebuttal to a twitter post about your donors being asked how to make more money.

So Ole Piss is actually desperate for money. Thanks for clarifying.
