I wouldn't be surprised if there was one of the usual stipulations in his contract (and its termination) about taking a new job reducing the money UF owes him. I don't dislike Mullen, but he definitely is a petty little bitch at the best of times. He probably isn't taking a coaching job just to sc...
Because somehow after the first week of games, I feel I know less about these teams than I did in the offseason. We'll see how it goes. I'm saying Florida 7-10, but I'm far from confident in that. Also, I've no real hate for Kentucky other than that foot twisting guy whose name I've already forgo...

In the past Stoops always makes exceptions for suspended players if it is a big game. I wouldn't count out Rodriguez....
Saw a graphic this morning where UF was dead last in the SEC - right behind Vandy. Something like #63? Can this be true?
Clearly you are stupefied when seeing numbers. I always wonder how your type manages to get through life. Who feeds you?...
I don't know why the mouthbreathers writing articles like these always put 2001 Miami at the top. There was nothing special about that team by national champion standards until they hit the NFL. It's one of those lies that has been repeated often enough that younger people who didn't see it begin t...
Why Did We Bring Mizzou into the SEC?
Some accounts blame Bernie Machen (then president of UF as well as the SEC board president) for pulling a lot of strings to make it happen. SEC wanted Texas A&M and there was a discussion about who else to take. I now have forgotten what othe...

re: Why don’t new coaches coach a bowl?

Posted by brambo on 12/24/21 at 10:34 am
It's not just no involvement from the new coaches in the bowl game, it's also in the practices. I've never questioned it until now. Teams are permitted 15 practices before the bowl game, but Florida's outgoing staff only used 4 or 5. They had a month to prepare and only had 4 or 5 practices. Cle...
This was always a rebuilding year for UF with all that y’all lost and you’re the only ones too retarded to see that.
It was a rebuilding year, yes. But the university and AD were looking for a reason to fire him over off the field stuff. They didn't want to give him a contract ex...

Prepare yourself for 0-3. It is looking like a strong possibility considering who is playing QB....

re: A&M cheating again

Posted by brambo on 12/9/21 at 10:09 am
I'm more amused by the accusations at Florida since they currently have the lowest rated recruiting class in the SEC. At least if A&M is cheating, they are getting some value out of it. What are you doing down there, Gators?
I'm pretty skeptical of this being true. But who know...

re: How did Jimbo destroy FSU?

Posted by brambo on 12/9/21 at 9:37 am
I'm a Florida fan, so I'd love nothing more than to lay 100% of the blame on FSU. But Jimbo also played his part. With his wife sleeping around on him, he started to behave erratically. He seemed to not be doing his job, especially in recruiting. Yeah, Taggart was incompetent. Yeah, the FSU A...
Coaches already had a short leash, but social media has just made it shorter. The media can turn on a coach, and then influence the fans. And once the fans start their frenzy online, it really never ends until that coach is fired. Fans actively work against their own team to turn away recruits. ...
It's all about fit. There is no universal ranking list of jobs applicable to all coaches. At the end of 2017 Chip Kelly thought UCLA was above Florida, Tennessee, and all the other schools reaching out....

re: Lol @ Florida’s AD what a joke

The extension raised the base pay from 6.0 to 7.5m, but the buyout stayed 12m. This season it was 12m. Next season it would be 12m. The season after that? 12m. I'm not positive, but I think the season after that would also be 12m. Then it'd be 7.5m, then 0 as his final year of contract expires...
Who’s in control? Are we gonna get leaks & rumors on this coaching search?
Interestingly enough, Stricklin addressed this in the press conference unprompted. He basically said Florida offers potential coaches a very clear organization and well defined chain of command. He said ot...
Well, fit is always important. Chip Kelly admitted he was a bad fit for Florida and he chose UCLA. But, I imagine most people would say Florida was the better job. If I were a coach and put my fandom aside, I'd like LSU best. Obviously having top level access to Louisiana recruits is nice. In ...
I heard this happened, but I thought the person saying it was joking. Florida always gets the Star Wars references. Muschamp and his "What's a padawan?" come to mind. [link=(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Gp7ckbHsMw)]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Gp7ckbHsMw[/link]...
This could literally be Boom and McElwain too. At a certain point, it becomes like Texas and maybe it’s not JUST the coach.
Nah Muschamp was bad from the get go. He had a pretty stacked roster and momentum from 2 recent national championships. The 2012 season he had a good ...
Mullen is setting this up for Emory to get boo'd by his own fans, on the biggest recruiting weekend of the season, on the biggest game of the weekend nationally. Emory threw 4 INTs, at least 2 more plays that definitely should have been INTs against SEC level competition. And, maybe a couple more...
