The LSU athletic department is expecting to face a $25-30 million dollar deficit this year. They are trying to squeeze that out of these donors.

Just look how dysfunctional their state is. Not surprised they are being reckless with their football spending. Very low Iq people.

Why is the Louisiana governor so involved with LSU athletics?
Saints are arse.
Pels are arse.
French Quarter is slumping.
No long term bump in oil and gas prices from the Iran war.
No tourism for a NCAA regional, let alone supers.
More people are playing bingo at the Knights of Columbus than attending LSU men's basketball.
Baws leaving "Death Valley" even earlier than normal last season.

An e-coli outbreak in King Cakes or Crawfish could end the state as we know it.

Lol, you clearly don't know the amount of "old money" donors that are from and live in Louisiana. None of them like their names in the limelight, but they are all over Louisiana. They've owned politicians forever in this state.

Well based on how much of a shite hole Louisiana is you’re describing DUMB money.

That’s exactly what that sounds like, and they are about to pitch some bullshite reason why their top donors need to give more.

We’re broke or we spend too much which is it? I can’t keep the BS excuses from yall straight.

Landry wants LSU football to do well to distract voters from looking around at the crumbling infrastructure and fraud surrounding them. It is the modern ‘bread and circuses’. In this case it is king cake and Death Valley. Keep em drunk and entertained.

It's just a constant cycle from one to the other.

I remember when many of these same posters used to wring their hands over whether LSU was too poor to fire O.

Knowing that, it doesn't seem smart to put a Louisiana boy in charge of your football program.

Anyone who honestly thinks that programs like Alabama and Georgia aren’t doing the same thing are fricking morons. They do a better job of keeping this kind of shite concealed.

There probably just isn't anyone here monitoring X for Georgia/Alabama news 24/7.

Probably not.

I don’t even truly care that much about college football at this point. The sport has become a bastardized shell of what it once was 10-15 years ago.

All of the fake, obnoxious, over the top preseason social media hype combined with NIL has turned it into an over-commercialized corporate entertainment machine. The soul that it used to have is long gone now.

Those two things normally do go together. When people spend too much money, they end up broke

You’re not wrong that every athletic director with at least a room temp iq is having these conversations. I wonder who keeps leaking information on LSU to dellenger
