Could Tim Tebow/Cam Newton carry a mid tier P4 team to the CFP today?

Let's say you put modern day Tebow or Newton on someone like Tennessee or Mizzou's roster, could they make the CFP?

Tennessee went to the playoffs with Nico lol. The real question is could they get LSU there?

Have people forgotten that Auburn went 8-5 in both 2009 and 2011? And 2010 was 14-0.
I will say, it’s more of a given that Cam Newton would carry. Tim Tebow never had to do that. He was surrounded by NFL talent and had far superior coaching at Florida.

Maybe to the playoff but not a championship. Auburn did have 2 dominant D linemen and were probably an 8-4 type team with an average QB.
