Wouldn’t Coach O be the ultimate winner of this?

Naa. O had some good seasons even without Burrow.

Chizik:
09 - mediocre
10 - PERFECTION WITH CAM
11 - mediocre
12 - abject dismay

Eaux:
16 - good (6-2 in the games he coached)
17 - okay
18 - good (with Burrow)
19 - PERFECTION WITH BURROW
20 - bad
21 - bad

Sumlin at A&M owes a lot to Johnny Football.

No national title, no conference title, no division title...what did Johnny do for Sumlin? Barely beat Duke in the chicken bowl?

Dexter McCluster was the only reason we won some games in 2009. Nutt survived, but he had a lot of goodwill going into the 2010 season because of how the 2009 season finished.

Hootie Nutt wasn't giving him the ball at the beginning of the season. He figured out what he had in the middle of the season, and it ended up saving our season.

Here are the stats to prove it.
First six games (4-2 with wins over Memphis, Southeastern Louisiana, Vanderbilt, and UAB)- 38 carries for McCluster
Last seven games (4-2 with wins over Arkansas, Tennessee, LSU, and Oklahoma State)- 143 carries for McCluster

So, same exact win loss totals?

also, 1 of those losses in the first 6 games was to the eventual national champion, and the other was to a South Carolina team that was a lot better than their record.

Tennessee went 7-6 under Kiffin. Perhaps LSU fans will be satisfied with that.

Urban with Tebow at Florida. He burned out fast after Tebow left.

Record without Timmy: 17-8
Record with Timmy: 48-7 with 2 National titles, one Heisman trophy and another unbeaten regular season

Also he had Alex Smith for his two years at Utah and went 22-2.

In researching, it reminded me how dominant he was at OSU: 83-9; 54-4 in the Big 10!

My point is we don't win those games if he doesn't figure out who he has to give the ball. Our first four wins were cupcakes. Our last four weren't.

Without Brett Favre, LSU doesn't hire disaster Curly Hallman and sink to rock bottom.

I somewhat disagree. Even though Burrow is obviously O's piece de resistence, he also signed Ja'Marr Chase, Justin Jefferson, Derek Stingley, Clyde Edwards-Helaire etc. Myles Brennan and Justin McMillan were decent enough college QBs that O would have probably kept his job a few years with that group even without Burrow and a championship.

Tennessee FEI Rankings

2008: #57
2009: #20 - Lane's year
2010 #49

There's a reason they put the power T in TanTrum, when he left.

Well, it was a rebuild. He was recruiting better than they had previously, they skull dragged Georgia and were a c*nt hair from taking down #1 Alabama on the road. 2 of his losses were to #1 teams of that week - Florida and Alabama. And both were good games.

The signs of improvement were obvious and the program felt like it had positive momentum.

Then he left

That's why they rioted.

While he had some packages, Tebow was the back-up QB for Urban's first natty. Chris Leak was the QB. The problem was he recruited QBs that didn't fit his system like John Brantley and tried to square peg - round hole it. A little inexplicable.

Joe Moorhead rode the Saquon Barkley train to a P5 gig and crashed and burned but still had enough to cred to get a top P5 OC gig in Oregon, which also didn't work out. He is 13-35 at Akron as head coach but they have gotten better every year, so maybe time will tell.

That's just not true at all

We also had some very bad losses that year, players went to jail, and the NCAA started an investigation into our program, so there were no positive feelings at all.

That happened because he was pressured by Disney Gator Bull boosters who showed favoritism towards Brantley because of his family’s ties to the university.

Urban recruited Cam, who was likely set up and expelled with that BS laptop situation so that Brantley could be forced onto the fan base.

The meddling of the Disney Bull Gator boosters like Gary Condon is why urban left UF and why the program has been circling the drain since
