Personally I’d put Anderson over Brooks

I disagree pretty vehemently, Brooks was arguably a game changer for us as a freshman. At least he was in our playoff game against OK. Anderson wasnt anything near that as a freshman.

Eta: sorry, im dumb. Thought you meant Lotzier instead of Jacorey.

You sure about that? I have done no research, but if you're right, id be surprised.

I can’t accept not showing up, players and coaches, and not competing and we did neither yesterday.

Old Dominion, Wisconsin, Iowa, Penn st, Michigan State all gave Indiana a better game than we did. And that was with their best dlineman not hurt.

That is why its so head scratching. It was straight up inexplicable.

But we did the same thing in the first game of the season against a bad team.

DeBoer has to figure out how to get his team to show up with intensity every game no matter the opponent, or he'll get run off next year. Thats all there is to it.

We’ve got a few posters here who have a pathological hatred of the guy

Pshh, Ty isnt even in the top 5 of most scrutinized Bama QBs in the last 20 years. Which is a good thing.

Like who? Other than Downs who was already a freshman all-american and Sayin who spent less than a week on campus once DeBoer was hired.

Haynes was having a good season at Michigan before he got hurt.

But there really hasn't been many.

The left will predictably allege this is a sign of his cognitive decline.

He kinda pepped up a bit once he got going and woke up.
Hes struggling pretty hard. Never really seen him struggle that much trying to speak.

Another positive is everyone got see where the short comings of this team are and what to address so there’s no excuses for not addressing it going into next season.

Yeah, this is really the only potential positive im seeing. Maybe DeBoer now realizes that he has no choice but to make some big changes and do things differently. That should have been apparent after 2024, but now its so glaringly obvious that there is just no denying it.

Ryan Williams play yesterday didnt really move the needle for me. Just a massively disappointing season from him. We could have reallllly used some elite play from him in 2025.
Hard pill to swallow considering what we are used to.

Consistency is what makes a program great, and we are seriously lacking it at the moment.
Yeah, the defense looked like the game 1 defense. No fire, no fight, no attacking, arm tackling, not in position, getting manhandled, looking lost and confused. But Indiana wasn't do anything tricky or special, it was just straight up 11 on 11 domination. They looked like they wanted to be there for 1 series-the first series. After that it was all over.

The level of inconsistency that we've seen the last 2 years is not good. Not good at all.

There’s not a shot in hell one of Jam, Riley, Or Hill isn’t equivalent to Brian Robinson and his cement shoe feet. Him and Hill are mirror images of each other.

Man, I thoroughly disagree. Robinson was an underrated back for us, and he is quicker, has better vision, and way harder to tackle than anyone we had on our roster in 2025. There is a reason he was an NFL starter in his first 3 seasons(after getting shot in his knee and his arse right before his rookie season.) Now he backs up one the best RBs in the NFL.

The line sucks, that’s really the crux of the issue. Same issue Saquon Barkley ran into with the Giants, even if these were the greatest backs in the past 20 years they’d be struggling with -1 Yards before contact that our line is producing:

This is true too. I just can't wrap my mind around how incapable of run blocking we were. And you can't tell me that we don't have the dudes to do it. Proctor, Brailsford, Carroll, Roberts, Formby, etc are all plenty good enough for us to achieve even 4 ypc. But we could only muster 3.1 fricking ypc this season. Bottom 10 in all of cfb in rushing offense. Its just straight up inexcusable.

Roberts is a good case study on how bad our Oline coaching has gotten. Dude was absolutely MAULING dudes in the 2023 SECCG. Dudes that are now starters on top NFL defenses. As a senior he should have been first team all-american and high up on every draft board. Yet, he got WORSE as a junior and a senior to the point where he is just an afterthought. If DeBoer doesn't can Kapilovic like real soon, then I won't even know what to say.

I just couldn’t imagine the pain or the fear. I’ve read somewhere that your body just goes into shock and shuts down?

Nah, you're pretty much conscious of being eaten alive until you finally bleed out from whatever organs the animal happens to be munching on.

Mountain lions kill their prey pretty much right off the bat. They generally go right for the back of the neck to snap it and sever the spinal chord to incapacitate quickly.

El oh el, no. Been here 20 years and not once has a mtn lion attack been of a concern. Rattlesnakes and moose are what you need to pay attention to here and neither care if you are alone or in a group.

Yeah, a mountain lion attack is so incredibly rare. Chances are lower than winning the lottery or being struck by lightning. There are multiple mundane things humans participate in every single day that are more dangerous than responsibly hiking alone in the wilderness in the winter.

re: As much as I dog on New Orleans

What a dumb thread. New Orleans is an American treasure. Sorry you're a pussy.
Dude it makes me genuinely sad seeing other teams run the ball so effectively. Like how in the ever living frick can an Alabama team be so fricking atrocious at running the football. I just can't wrap my mind around it.
Yeah, you pretty much summed my feelings up.

Unless some serious changes are made to the staff and DeBoer's general approach to coaching football, then we arent winning any championships. We will most likely be pretty good, good enough to make the playoffs most years, but we'll take at least one arse kicking, probably 2 every season.

I definitely hope I'm dead wrong, but after an arse kicking like that, its hard to feel much different. Things could be worse for sure, but they should be better. Much better.

OSU's oline was awful when they played teams with some actual talent.

Illinois team that beat Tennessee last night, far worse than Alabama did.

Alabama 37
UT 20

Illinois 30
UT 28

WTF are you even talking about?

Ohio State and Indiana also beat Penn State, who easily handled Clemson.

WTF does that have to do with anything?

Alabama also beat Vandy by 16 points.

UT and Vandy's biggest offensives weapons were bowl opt-outs too.

What a fail of a post.
