It's equally weird for us considering I'd never have guessed that Kiffin would end up in a place like Oxford, or that he would end up coaching over 5 seasons for us. Good luck this weekend.

I love Dart btw but he did cost them the Broncos and Bears games with late 4Q turnovers AND he loves Daboll.
Dart's late turnovers in those two games were tough, but Dart didn't give up 33 points in the fourth quarter to the Broncos. Hell he even went down the field and gave them a late TD to give them the lead back just for their incompetent kicker to miss his second PAT of the game immediately after. Sure, you don't want Dart to turn the ball over and the interception definitely left the door open, but I don't place anywhere near as much blame on Dart for that loss as I do their defense and their place kicker, whom they cut the week after that loss.
I'm willing to give him a pass on the Bears one since he was injured on the play. The Bears DB made a good play on the ball, not like the time Dart just dropped the ball against the Saints. He actually corralled the ball back after he lost it against the Bears until his head hit the ground and he suffered a concussion. Regardless, the Giants had a 10 point lead in the 4th quarter and couldn't hold it.

I agree for the most part honestly. The Giants' current roster is not entirely devoid of talent. Sure they need some more pieces on the offensive line and in the secondary, and losing Nabers and Skattebo to injury did them no favors either. However, there hasn't been enough winning to justify keeping Daboll even before this season. The Giants are 11-33 in their last 44 games, and it seems that getting a potential franchise QB in Dart hasn't magically turned things around like Daboll hoped
The great thing is whoever comes in as the Giants' next head coach has a bunch of young players like Dart, Skattebo, Nabers, Carter, Tracy, Dru Phillips, etc. to build out a competent roster. I think Daboll's ultimate downfall was multiple years of poor roster construction - their offensive line still sucks and they have the worst run defense in the NFL. If the next coach can come in and fix at least one of those two things (preferably the OL so Dart doesn't get hit 13 times per game), I think the Giants can be a damn good football team within two years.

Baker is definitely getting another contract, but this tweet is just a projection. I'd honestly doubt that he gets $70M per year when the largest QB contract on a per-year basis is only $60M right now. He might reset the QB market, but his new deal won't go $10M over the current top of market deal

With all due respect, as we've seen multiple times, anything to do with a Lane Kiffin coaching search is anything but structured and predictable. I'm not saying that this guy you're quoting isn't hearing what he is, but I struggle to believe that anyone knows what Kiffin is going to do besides Kiffin

I just got done watching every snap of the Texas A&M versus Auburn game. What a wacky affair. There were 23 penalties committed by both teams, combined, some of which were absolutely backbreaking for both teams. Here are my main takeaways from this one.
A&M got out to another hot start. A first drive touchdown after stopping Auburn on their first possession gave A&M an early 7-0 lead that they never relinquished. There were some killer penalties against A&M, such as the holding penalty on second goal with roughly 8 minutes left in the second quarter that kept this game from getting out of hand early. A&M did a great job getting some points before the half to make it a 13 to 3 game, and then would’ve had another prime opportunity to go and score, if not for a bad running into the kicker penalty with just over a minute left in the second quarter. Those extra seconds that A&M didn’t have on their final drive before the half forced your kicker into having to make a long 50 yarder which he then missed.
Come the second half A&M has the ball and is driving into Auburn territory to extend the lead. Then, there’s a holding call on first down, an intentional grounding call on second down, and an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty on third down which forced fourth and 18 and another 50 yard kick for your kicker that he missed. Both teams were penalty factories in this game, but it felt like A&M penalties were more impactful because they kept lots, and I mean LOTS, of points off the board.
Come the fourth quarter, A&M has the ball and is again driving deep into Auburn territory. Then, with 10:38 left on the clock, Marcel Reed throws a terrible interception that gives Auburn a chance to start a drive from inside the 5 yard line. This leads to a score for Auburn, and all of the sudden, it is a 13–10 ballgame midway through the fourth quarter. After another Texas A&M punt, Auburn gets the ball with seven minutes and a chance to tie or take the lead. A&M’s defense shows out yet again, and this cycle repeated two more times before the game ended. If not for an ineligible man down Field penalty on A&M that negated a touchdown, this game would’ve been out of reach. However, Auburn had the ball three different times with a chance to go win the game in the 4th.
My overall analysis of this game is that Texas A&M’s defense is absolutely God tier. Just like Lagway in the Florida game, Jackson Arnold could get nothing going with the Auburn offense the entire day. It took an interception return inside the five for Auburn to get its only touchdown. But, even with A&M’s incredible defensive performance, Auburn still had multiple chances in the fourth to score a touchdown and take the lead. Based on how Texas A&M‘s offense was having trouble converting in Auburn territory, I think it’s questionable if A&M would have been able to come back if Auburn had taken the lead. A&M didn’t really pull away in this game to be honest - it wasn’t always a one possession game, but Auburn was never fully out of this game and was very much in it in the fourth quarter after the interception.
ETA: Breaking down these games has given me an appreciation and Elko and his defensive coaching ability. That man can field a damn defense.

So I just got done watching every snap of the Florida game, here are my thoughts:
Both Florida and A&M got out to good starts. The game was 14-14 late in the first quarter. A&M got another score to make it 21-14 early in the 2Q, and then your defense started playing lights out. There’s no doubt that y’all were the better team on the field in this game.
My concern is how your offense went ice cold for 32 straight minutes of game time. After your score early in the 2Q, Reed began missing passes, the run game sputtered (partly due to Moss getting hurt) and if it weren’t for a costly Florida fumble in the 3Q, you might have gone scoreless for over 2 quarters of this game. Even the fumble in Florida territory in the third only turned into a field goal. I took a few time stamps in the 3Q around 14:31 and 11:32 where Reed just whiffed on a few passes and stalled your drives. And that interception that Reed threw at 14:53 in the 4Q was an absolutely awful throw that could have turned the game on its head.
Credit to y’all though - when Lagway shite his pants on that 4th down play with 13ish minutes left in the 4th, yall orchestrated an 8-minute grindy drive that put the game out of reach. The yardage disparity in the box score was well earned, your defense had Lagway in a box basically the whole game. However, this is what I was getting at when I made my first post - A&M looked like the better team, but couldn’t get anything going on offense for most of the 2nd and 3rd quarters and let Florida hang around. Florida even had a chance to go down the field and tie the game in the 4th because of Reed’s interception. Then, A&M used a few suffocating run plays to beat Florida into submission late and pulled away when they needed to.

I don't think A&M is playing their best ball yet. LSU was close but we still had a block punt, an interception in the endzone, and a drive-sustaining PF on a long 3rd down...all contributing to their 3-point lead at half.
I think the bigger thing is how A&M has won in different ways. Winning on basically the final play on the road against Notre Dame early in the season says a lot, bleeding the clock against an opponent (Arkansas?), and snuffing out any chance at an upset against LSU at DV. They've demonstrated they can react and respond with a win in a variety of ways.
Their two biggest wins have been at away games, so on a neutral field I absolutely like our chances. I think your argument has merit though. Against more difficult opponents and better coached teams it's tougher to overcome a deficit.
Good discussion
I 100% agree, great discussion. This is more of what this board needs. I really am not trying to troll y'all at all and I also recognize that Ole Miss has needed to win some games late against teams I consider inferior, hence why I think y'all would likely beat us on a neutral field right now. All four of these teams we're discussing have been pushed to the limit at some point so far, and I think all four teams are better because of it.

I'm really not trying to troll y'all here. Here is what I've seen from my research and my own personal viewing;
A&M led Florida 24-17 in the 4th quarter with less than 5 minutes left in the game, then outscored the Gators 10-0 in the final 4:39 to win 34-17. One-score game entering the 4th that ended up being a three-score win.
A&M led Arkansas 38-35 in the 4th quarter with less than 10 minutes left in the game. A&M needed a TD with just under 7 minutes left to go up 10 points and lock down the win.
A&M led Mississippi State 14-3 entering the 4th quarter, then proceeded to outscore the Dawgs 17-6 in the 4th quarter on the way to a three-score 31-9 win.
A&M led Auburn 13-10 in the 4th quarter with less than 10 minutes left in the game. A late A&M field goal gave y'all a 16-10 lead that put the game out of reach.
A&M needed a touchdown pass with 13 seconds left to beat Notre Dame 41-40.
Those are five examples from this season of A&M needing to score points late in games to pull away and secure a victory. I'll give you the LSU game, y'all absolutely crushed them in the third quarter and left no doubt. However, the five games I mentioned above were all still in jeopardy in the 4th quarter and were far from comfortable wins despite what the final scores might say. The only one of those wins that could maybe considered comfortable is Mississippi State, but even that is stretching it a little bit.
This normally doesn't matter, but the question posed by the OP was would A&M beat Alabama, UGA, and Ole Miss in neutral site matchups. I think that A&M's number of close games casts doubt over whether A&M could beat those teams on a neutral field or not.
