His NIL value is like $1.1M, so if THAT doesn't divide the locker room, I don't see how this purchase would.

He's a 5th year senior who spent 3 years on the bench waiting his turn, I doubt there's locker room division over this. Now, a high school kid coming in and getting that kind of treatment could definitely be problematic.

For the record, I don't hate on anyone who earns legal money. But, some of the comments about players and NIL are oftentimes veiled racist comments.

Man, this has been going on forEVER. Just a little bit of perspective:
I was at La. Tech when Karl Malone was there. One year he shows up in a black IROC Camaro with a custom paint job and a license plate that said "MAILMAN".
Lots of questions back then about how he got the car. Supposedly his grandmother bought it for him as a gift. Oh, and he also had a campus job - turning the golf course sprinklers on and off a couple of times a week. Must have paid pretty well, given what gas and insurance must have cost him on that IROC Z....

Same when I was in flight school for the Air Force. You always knew who the new 2LTs were on base - they were the ones driving fancy new sports cars and partying their butts off at the O Club every Friday, spending money like there's no tomorrow. (For the record, JOC nights RULED at Mather AFB back then...)
And, before you ask, yes, I also had a sports car, but had to trade it in on a minivan a few years later when I met my beautiful wife and we started having kids.

I rarely comment outside of Tennessee related topics anymore. This was NIL related so I commented.
And the comment was pure sarcasm. It’s not like Beck was going pro. He’s a couple decades out what the league expects in a QB, he’s a tall statue with no instincts for the game. At best he’s a late round one contract guy. So absolutely taking his 4 million NiL deal to play at UGA one more year.
Hopefully he learned from Bennett and doesn’t snort his NiL and NFL contract and has a degree to fall back on. I guess he can sell the Lamborghini and buy a modest house if all else fails.

Beck is a dumbass for this. He’s stupid. It’s a bad look. It’s a waste of money. It’s showing off for no reason for clout that he doesn’t need. It’s drawing eyes from regulators and opposition who may try to use it again him or the program. It’s disrespectful to the people giving him money. NFL teams may not like it either.
