re: What if they choose Dan Mullen

I wouldn’t be mad. He can coach which takes more precedence than recruiting these days. Not that recruiting is unimportant.

NIL is less of a problem that coach pay. Paying BK alone half of the rev share total is crazy dumb.
People have forgotten Jimbo was 5-6 in his last season at FSU yet Woody still signed

Him up at A&M. Woody is good for signing washed up coaches and acting like he’s signing prime coaches. Woody is a snake oil salesman and some of you are too damn foolish to know.

Woodward went into 2 programs that are notoriously led by boosters. He got them what they demanded: The best coach available. It’s not all on Woodward…
I remember Jimbo was 5-6 his last season at FSU. Jimbo was washed then and some folks were saying it in the FSU media. But Woody still signed him. Woody ain’t shite.

Hiring a football coach at 5-7 mil per year and putting the rest towards NIL would actually be more productive and profitable than give more than 10 mil per year to a coach. Some of you people are dumb as hell. Good coaches can be found especially if you look around like Indiana’s AD did.
re: If we lose to Aggies by 7 or less, is BK still fired ?
Posted by Shaft Williams on 10/28/25 at 10:05 pm to Brlaf77
If he signed Bryce Underwood BK would still be the coach. And, Bryce would have been playing for an injured Nuss.

I don't really care if he missing every now and again because the dude is ok with setting his sights on the biggest coaches who we wouldn't even think are on the radar and he signs them. I know BK didn't work but Woodward went to Notre Dame and said my shite is better than this. That's what I like! We are LSU and he isn't afraid to look for the biggest baddest and say I can get that. Dudes got balls!
ND offered BK a 3 or 4 year contract. Woody offered BK a 10 year, 100 million dollar guaranteed contract. Woody is a dummy who is terrible at his job.

They may lose the Tennessee game. I think they win the rest.
re: If Michigan opens soon Brian Kelly and James Franklin will battle for that job

Don’t laugh. BK and JF are indeed better head coaches than Sark.

Some of you think Penn State is a tier 1 job. It’s not. It’s no better than Washington or Ole Miss. Franklin did the best he could with that job.

Sherrone Moore’s buyout is no more than $5 million. And, rumors are swirling that Moore is on the hot seat.
re: Predict who will be the HC at Penn St, Florida, Arkansas, and Auburn

FSU may come open as well as Michigan. If Michigan opens I suspect it will be a fight between James Franklin and Brian Kelly.

Franklin can do better than Arkansas. I think the only SEC job he’d take would be Florida. But, if he coaches next season I think he remains in the Big 10.
re: Is Penn State actually a destination job?

Maybe 6th with the way Indiana is spending money.
re: Is Penn State actually a destination job?

It’s not. At best it’s 4th or 5th best job in the big 10. I’d put SMU, Texas Tech, and TCU over the Penn State job for starters. Penn State is about on the same level as Washington as a program.
re: Does Penn State come after Kiffin? Would he consider it if they did?
Posted by Shaft Williams on 10/12/25 at 9:36 pm to MedDawg
Why invest in a high dollar stadium renovation when it’s about who can pay the players the most? Penn State is wasting $700 million.

What Franklin did at PSU is impressive because that’s not an elite job. But it was time for him to go. Kiffin wouldn’t take that job.

Elliot and Golesh are realistic replacements.

Those NIL deals are drying up after this season.
Arch will be in the portal after the season.

Sark can’t afford another season with Arch. Where will he end up? Tulane?
