It may take Tennessee a bit longer than that to get it together. Maybe one day though.

Nope, UGA doesn't give recruits big NIL deals.

So you really believe they pass up NIL to go to UGA? That’s just blissful ignorance. Your 2nd and 3rd string QBs that didn’t see a meaningful snap combined for well over a million in NIL. There were over 600 NIL football deals at UGA between 2022-2023.
Ellis Robinson IV Got a half million in NiL before stepping on campus.

Shoulda just gotten an RS Q8 and saved some money if he’s buying an SUV.

The resale value to a collector of UGA stuff is more fungible in a Lamborghini. It’s a hedge against his future.

Well everyone can’t have the movie star looks of Ed O, the charm of Jim Harbaugh, the gum smacking Goober Pyle personality of Drink, the dancing moves of Grinding Brian, or the magnificent physique of Josh Heupel.
Carson will do just fine. Women like winners and Carson is definitely one. A winner with a bright NFL future, a really nice car and a huge bank account. And from all accounts a nice guy.

But, some of the comments about players and NIL are oftentimes veiled racist comments.
1. This is a horrible take.

2. Bond bought a Lambo AND Bronco? Why? That seems terribly irresponsible.

Who are you? These players’ financial planner? It’s their money and it’s theirs to do what ever they want with it.
Carson’s fancy ride is most likely a NIL deal. He endorses the Atlanta dealership and gets to drive the car for a year or so. We will probably be seeing him on billboards in N Atlanta soon.

If they’re given these cars to drive, that’s awesome.

If they bought them it’s a terrible decision.

I have no clue what the rest of your post has to do with anything.

Buying a car of this caliber isn’t stupid. It’s an investment.

What are you basing this on?

You’re telling me this vehicle doesn’t depreciate?

Not nearly as much as cheaper vehicles. I’ve bought expensive vehicles - not on the Lamborghini level but still expensive - top level Mercedes, Lexuses, and BMWs. I drove them for a couple years, housed them in a garage and maintained them and when I went to sell I recovered most of what I paid for them. Even made a nice profit during the Covid year when cars were hard to find.

and just so we are clear. The ONE NIL valuations are completely made up. Its at best a guess and at worst just doesn't mean shite.
Nobody seems to understand this. I facepalm every time I see a dollar amount thrown around. Unless you're the personal CPA of said player...nobody knows the real amount.

I hesitate to say cars are never an investment, but they give very poor ROI...especially ones still in production and driven daily. A 2024 Lambo isn't a Ferrari GTO from the 60's. If Beck actually purchased that car (as in not a lease) he's simply going to lose money.

Straight pay for play to get him back for another year.

Yes, like all of the rest of them.

He is signed to play for us. We are paying him. He is getting around what he could've gotten for one year as a second round pick. He came back to go in the first round with less competition at QB in that draft (supposedly). First round money, especially if he's top ten, is a much greater pay day. It was a 50/50 decision and he chose to come back. You guys are straight paying Nico. And he likely would stay if he were in the same situation (provided he's good enough).

I think there is a difference you guys in Tennessee can't seem to understand here.

It will in the short run, but not like you think. These cars are produced in a very limited quantity and many of them have unique traits within the make and model that make them even more exclusive.

Depending on the upkeep and if it becomes desirable among car enthusiasts, could appreciate in the future. But either way, in the near future, the car will depreciate at a far lesser rate than your average car. The idea that it immediately loses 20 percent of its value on purchase is silly.

Wait...so a car dealership (boosters, by your definition) gave him a car?

BUT MUH PAY TO PLAY

lmao
