LSU HC Will Wade and assistant coach Bill Armstrong eating lunch with Trendon Watford’s parents today in Birmingham (Watford had a game today).
This would appear to be an NCAA violation. See the additional restriction for basketball

Per the NCAA it wasn't self reported at all. Wade and Armstrong never told LSU compliance and LSU compliance only heard about it "through the NCAA", meaning it wasn't self reported. It was ignored or covered up by Wade/Armstrong. If they'd told LSU compliance and LSU compliance had reported it, it wouldn't have ended up here. That's the point, I'm guessing.
