WHNT — A now-former coach at Guntersville High School resigned from his position after he was accused of being intoxicated by law enforcement during a jamboree football game.

Arab Police said that a man identified as Jerry Fulks approached officers and identified himself as a member of the media to request access to the sideline during an Arab High School Jamboree Football game on Friday, Aug. 14

According to authorities, officers suspected that Fulks was intoxicated and escorted him out of the stadium. Upon further investigation, it was determined that Fulks was intoxicated.

He was arrested for public intoxication and transported to the Marshall County Jail.
