Series rolls on. Only S and Edgerushers/ DEs left for tRant to rate which will be tomorrow. But for now it’s the Dline.

#1 Trajan Jeffcoat: (Missouri)
Similar to Barmore in many ways. Can get after the passer and stop the run. Will be a Junior next season and maybe the best player on defense for Mizzou now that Bolton is gone.

#2 Zachary Carter: (Florida)
He is returning to UF for 2021 with a lot of experience as a Senior now. Florida is losing some key players so I expect an big leap from him. Was good last season as well. He’s at a good spot at 2 for me.

#3 Kingsley Enagbare: (South Carolina)
He’s a stud for SC. 3 forced fumbles on the year puts him in the top 6 for that catogory.
You could argue him as high as 2nd on this list. He will be a solid draft pick next season.

#4 Jordan Davis: (UGA)
UGA fans very high on him. I believe he was number 99 or 98 for them. Huge player and apparently projected to be a 1st round pick.
He’s at 4 now.

#5 Big KAT Bryant (Tennessee)
I gotta put him in this list. He does it all. I have even seen him drop back in coverage even sometimes. Has the experience as well. If Tennessee can keep TO TO that’s some 2 pretty good players.

Honorable mentions:
Tyree Johnson (Texas AM)
Jaquelin Roy (LSU)
Eric Gregory (Arkansas)

Give me some suggestions if I missed any of your players that might belong on the list or honarable mentions.

Note: Edge Rushers are next. Don’t get confused because these are specific players for the D line not constant edge rushers to be qualified as such.

I wish Barmore was coming back but he’s not.

Jordan Davis had 1st round projections and came back because his mom wanted him to get a degree. He’s #3 here at worst.

Barmore is going pro. Jordan Davis is the best returning DL.

I didn't follow football as closely this year in regard to other teams' players, but I can tell you Georgia's Jordan Davis is legit. He's a havoc wreaker. A man his size shouldn't have the footwork, quickness, and straight-line speed he has. He's a freak of nature. And he's got a mean streak and seeks contact, very physical football player. He's like a nose-tackle version of Jadaveon Clowney but without boo-boo's on his feet.

Barring injury or arrest, he's going to be a top ten draft pick and he's a likely pro-bowler as a rookie. He could take a starting job on any NFL DL today.

The fact he decided to come back to UGA also speaks volumes about his character. He's not a "Me" guy. He's a team guy. He's not just big and bad, he's smart.

Honorable mentions are a little perplexing.

True freshman Jalen Carter shined in 2020.

He probably shouldnt be on a preseason list.

But if you are building a watch list for 2021, he absolutely should be considered. He will definitely be in the conversation at the end of the season if healthy

Will probably be at AU; is not a top DL.

Not including Leal is retarded. Like, seriously ignorant.

Look for Labryan Ray to be one of the best DL next year if he can stay healthy.

Thanks for making all these threads, good to still have football talk. Despite the horde of downvotes you receive with every one of these threads due to the people here who fricking hate actual football discussion.

Lulz. League is slipping if this dude is top 5.

He has been about as mediocre as it gets.

Tyree Johnson is an edge rusher. He does not belong on this list.

DeMarvin Leal plays DE/DT/NT at 300 pounds and is our best DL since Myles Garrett. He is likely a 1st round pick next year.

#2 Zachary Carter: (Florida)

Zachary Carter's career has very closely monitored Jonathan Bullard's career under Muschamp. Both are/were natural SSDE's that were strong and agile enough to play inside at DT, especially on passing downs, however I think it hindered their development to constantly shuffle them around the entire DL.

Bullard's senior season he played almost exclusviely SSDE and blew up into a 2nd round pick.

Bullard JR Season: 52 tackles/8.5 TFL/2.5 sacks
Bullard SR Season: 63 tackles/18 TFL/6.5 sacks

Carter JR Season: 35 tackles/9 TFL/5.0 sacks

Bullard was the most elite run-stopping SSDE I think I've ever seen at Florida and Carter won't begin to replicate that, but he is a better pass rusher, and in a full season at SSDE (thanks to improved depth at DT), I could see him posting a 65/15 TFL/10 sack season.

Kobie Whiteside is said to be coming back for Mizzou, he was injured most of last year. If 2019 Whiteside shows up, he could be in the discussion. He had 7.5 sacks from the DT position in 2019

DeMarvin leal is better than Johnson who is an edge rusher. Demarvin is one of the best if not the best lineman in the nation. Your list loses all credibility if you don’t at least make him an honorable mention. He was the biggest reason A&M had the best rush defense in the SEC.
