LSU has dominated the transfer portal, and Florida has got some pretty talented WRs coming in. With Lagway I could see Florida being a very good team next season.

LSU on paper will have an elite defense returning with a lot of their offense back. Rumors are starting to swirl about Perkins returning too.

Will be interesting because I think the SEC is always best when LSU and Florida are top notch. They also play early in the season next year.
Alabama was a top 12 team this season. They beat Georgia, and they beat them handily most of the game. They beat LSU, they beat South Carolina, they beat Missouri. You think SMU is running through that without multiple losses?

Yes they have bad losses, but that’s part of the SEC. It’s a 12 team playoff so there are gonna be 3 loss teams.

If Alabama played SMUs schedule they likely go undefeated or finish with 1 loss. Same for South Carolina.
It’s not the most deserving 12 teams. It’s the best 12 teams period. If you don’t want three loss teams in the playoffs than don’t move it to 12 teams :dunno:

I can’t stand Alabama, but it’s obvious they would be much more competitive vs Notre Dame or Penn state. South Carolina too. They were arguably the hottest team in the country when the season ended.

SEC got stabbed in the back with this format.

I just know LSU is gonna be in one of these situations in the future and it would be an enormous melt if a team like West Virginia got in simply because they played a cupcake schedule.

Would be a huge get.

Thieneman
Nic Anderson
Barion Brown
Jahkeem Jackson
Micah Hudson
Zechariah Posyner

Would be quite a hall. We supposedly lead for all these guys :dunno:
Watch the tape and examine the data before you throw that out there.

Maalik Murphy is more mobile than Nuss, I’m not saying Murphy is Lamar Jackson but he’s a lot quicker than Nuss and does use his legs More

Murphy 40 yard dash time:
4.68

Nuss 40 yard dash time:
4.83
26 TDs to 12 ints. Similar to Nuss this season.

More mobile than Nuss for sure and had limited weapons at Duke. If Nuss enters the draft this would be a very good option. 6”5 235 frame too.
I actually think LSU should have got him more involved. When he was in and targeted he was pretty efficient. We even used him on some sweeps and lined him up at RB a couple times.
This is from On3 this morning:

quote:

Kentucky WR Barion Brown LSU remains the early leader for Kentucky wide receiver Barion Brown, sources tell On3. But Ole Miss, Texas A&M and Florida State will all be involved.

Some smoke about it already being a done deal on some of the ON3 boards.
We have Zavion Thomas and Aaron Anderson as kick returners so I don’t know if Brown would kick return. Would be interesting.

I think if Nuss comes back Brown could take the top off the defense and give you those quick slants LSU has been needing.
I have seen Kentucky play a couple times and Brown always seemed like one of your best and most explosive players. Along with Key.

Supposedly LSU is the leader for him and trending to get him. His stats are solid considering the QB play. Do you think he can be an impact guy at LSU?

USC WR Kyron Hudson in the portal

Solid season this year. Similar numbers to CJ Daniels but with more TDS.

This is the guy who made those 2 incredible caches against us in the opener.

Wouldn’t mind to be honest :dunno:
You people need to realize Louisiana might be a poor state, but LSU is not a poor university and the football program is one of the most important pieces to the school.

Do you think LSU got Bryce Underwood, Kade Phillips, Pickett, Dakorien Moore committed by just relationships? No. They had money and had NIL deals packaged. The problem is putting our best offer on the table immediately. It allows other schools like Texas and Michigan and so on to continue upping the price and out spend us at the end. We may not be elite in the NIL collective landscape, but we are good and that does not mean we should not target 5 star recruits imo.

Some good might be coming

A little bit of positives going into tomorrow.

Solomon Thomas leaning towards us.
Jahkeem Stewart (has a lot more money freed up for him)

If and it’s a big if we can hold on to Pickett and get those 2 above it will be fine.

Also talks of getting a premier CB from an SEC school? I don’t know who it is, but that Florida CB was supposedly pretty good before he went down. Could be someone else though :dunno:

Stay strong, we have a lot more funds to work with now. Let’s hope it showcases itself.
Michigan? No.
Notre Dame? Not with there academic restrictions
USC? There recruiting has been mediocre and that likely remains

There is 3 schools/programs that will be consistently stealing recruits and consistently pulling top tier classes.
Texas, Ohio state, and Oregon. It’s those 3 and then everyone else.
I do not know how much specifically LSU was offering, but I do know Texas is in the 700k range with increased “opportunities” for staying 2-3 years.

Texas increased there money up front immediately and that’s why he went there

re: Does DJ Pickett sign tom?

Expect Oregon and UGA to increase their offer. LSU has more money tied into Pickett than Phillips so let’s hope it’s enough
These past few weeks have opened up a ton of money to be spent

It has to be spent on the portal and if it isn’t we are in trouble
LSU had an NIL deal in place just not as much money up front that some of these boosters are offering.
Texas offered 700k literally 2 days ago for Phillips from what I have heard. LSU did not like how he was all in and then was so late in the game switched his mind.

Seems like LSU will really go hard in the transfer portal

Regarding Dakorien Moore:

Was in attendance last week as you all know. And from what I have heard is it went really well despite the outcome of the game.

There even is a video of him being asked “where you going”

Did not say Oregon. :dunno:
But said “I don’t know”

Word is Oregon has an insane nil deal with him but LSU is really a place he loves. Wouldn’t be surprised if LSU is keeping in touch and tries to increase their offer. Will be interesting.
