There isnt the demand to bring it back on an annual basis. A one-time bowl matchup would be a hot ticket, but annually? It would be as interesting as the Southwest Classic in Arlington

A&M fans in here are ridiculous. IT owned their arse forever so they want to avoid it. I think they would whoop up on Texas yearly. Don’t know why they are so hesitant

I'll preface my remarks by saying....I'm A&M class of '73.
I think we should be playing Texas. I think it's a shame we're not, but I don't care if we play those c---suckers again in my lifetime.
We've moved to greener pastures.....actually kinda been driven to move by the actions over the years of an old business parter. We've been invited and joined a new partnership that so far seems to respect all the partners.
Meanwhile they've sunk to levels not seen in a long time, if ever. They need a boost...something they don't get from playing Baylor, Tech, Iowa St, Kansas St etc.
Hell, they played Kansas Thanksgiving weekend while we're fighting' it out with LSU.
F 'em. I've got no interest in giving them the time of day, much less a spot on our schedule.
I think we should be playing Texas. I think it's a shame we're not, but I don't care if we play those c---suckers again in my lifetime.

Damn. I mean, I know it’s fun to talk about the REC and all, but damn. At least when we pay refs we tell them to keep quiet about it and give the appearance of objectivity. Texas has no fricks to give.

the last game TX and TX A&M played before leaving the conference was the worst officiated game I've ever seen. It was so obvious even LSU fans could see the deck was stacked heavily for Texas.
Rigt now it would benefit UT more than A&M. I'd still like to see A&M pound the shite outa UT.

The LHN contractually obligates ESPN to promote the Longhorn brand, across all platforms.
The LHN is also a failure, financially speaking, for ESPN.
It’s essentially a longhorn propaganda machine that ESPN stupidly agreed to.
I would guess tu would snake their way into putting the game on the LHN.
A&M wants no part of helping the LHN or of helping tu achieve a decent schedule.
Therefore, dropping the LHN is a prerequisite to even consider the game.
If we meet in a bowl game, I am fine with that.

An A&M fan showed that when the refs came up about the LSU game.

Well, it might move the meter a little bit more than that, but I don't miss the series. We beat them every year I was in school as part of a 10 out of 11 streak. It was nice to beat them, but it mattered too much to our fans--finish 2nd to Arkansas? Well, at least we beat the sips...That was the attitude. I'm fine if we never play them again, but, at a minimum, we need a little bit more time apart to fully re-set our priorities.

Class of 03" here. Quite Frankly I'm not not interested. From a pure fun/hate perspective I'd rather play Texas Tech as there was some genuine built up hate that developed with their High School antics while I was there. i.e, the goal post being shoved into our fan section and the chaos that followed. There was also and on campus incident as well in addition to other things throughout the history of the rivalry. Not worthy of an annual series but would love to see a home and home every five years.
