What really happened is t.u. wanted to jump to the Pac and tried to strongarm A&M/Nebraska/CU/et al into the deal. Aggy said "no, frick that and frick y'all, we'll go where we want. If you wanna keep the season series, come get this L real quick OOC. If not, frick y'all, we still gone."

I grew up with the game (my dad's an Aggie....class of '83, actually). It's the one thing I thought I'd miss about the whole SEC move when we left. Otherwise I was over the moon about the conference switch. Just thought I'd always rue the day they quit playing us.
To my surprise, I haven't missed it a bit. That "aw shite this is a big game" feeling I used to get every time we played them is the same feeling I get when we go up against Bama/lsu/Auburn/etc.
It'll probably come back eventually, but I haven't missed it a bit. They're some damn snakes.

Why should Texas help A&M? Let them stay among the mediocre teams. Also, no one else is leaving the Big12 for the SEC. Thats a pipe dream.

This is hilarious. That appearance in the 7-A Texas High School Football title game last saturday really got the horns smelling themselves.
