He’s won big at Ole Miss? How so?
The fact that anyone way nervous about playing Ole Miss says a lot. Especially after Hookergate.

Deboer to Alabama is a gift.

DoBoer bringing his offensive coordinator and retaining t-rob as the DC would likely keep most of our players here. I also think it would be a home run hire, and I was not in that boat a few days ago. I know the recruiting thing is iffy, but he also just went to the Natty with a bunch of three stars.

So I once again ask, what coaches are you thinking fit all 5 criteria?
I don't know... Just giving the criteria. It's the search committee job to find the ones to fit.
This is like asking me who I'm going to hire to fill open positions at work. I put out requirements, recruiters bring me names. I interview and hire.

Pawwwlll any ol chump can go 104-12 and 5-0 in two seasons against Sark and Dan Lanning with inferior talent with a NC appearance. No id rather have Kirby's gardener because "culture, cruiting, and Saban pedigree"

I think DeBoer would be a great hire considering the circumstances of following the GOAT, and how much worse it could be... not to mention maybe we can get him to bring Grubb with him
If we got DeBoer and Grubb, and they kept TRob, Bala, and Jeff Allen I'd be content.

Bond just hit the portal

He's also 5-0 against Sark & Lanning - the guys everyone thought would be home run hires. This isnt a fluke. DeBoer is a damn good coach.
The comparisons to Harsin are idiotic.

Many players will. Doesn't mean they are gone, but if they are smart the good ones are going NIL hunting.

Like you can just call up someone and say, “Send me another GOAT.” The very word GOAT conveys rarity and exclusivity.

Probably not the best sign.

inferior talent
What?! He had penix, a great wr corp, and rb that will most likely be drafted in the NFL.
To say there was some huge gap is ridiculous.

I would be thrilled... but we will see what happens. I think concerns about recruiting in the SEC can be alleviated with the proper assistants.

I agree with everything except the emboldened part. He's the sexiest potential hire out there. They guy's a straight up, bad arse winner man. When I think Deboer, I think Saban to LSU and Meyer to Florida. Deboer to Alabama is a gift.
Agreed! I'll gift wrap him for ya.

A) someone that has experience leading a large program with a demanding fanbase
Pac-12 Champion currently working for a University that isn't afraid to can the wrong guy
B) someone with experience handling the spot light
Just coached a playoff win over Texas and led his team to the National Title game
C) someone who embraces the new era of recruiting, nil, and portal
Brought in one of the best QB's and WR's in the country through the portal
D) probably someone in the late 40s to mid 50s... That's the right range of experience for this job.
He's 49
Sounds like you want DeBoer.

Deboer doesn't fit those, in my opinion. He's like giving an 18 year old the keys to the Porsche. He doesn't have a and b.
I'd look at large program guys in the NCAA... Wouldn't be opposed to shaking some trees in the NFL ranks.
The coaches you just described aren't available. They're already at big name successful schools like Georgia, Ohio State, Texas, etc. They're not making a lateral move to come and be compared to the greatest college coach of all time and be found wanting.
