Much like Cloer, we were a finalist in the recruitment of Freeman as well.
Hell, let's toss in Jasper Johnson, and that's 3 transfers we were runners up the first time.
We've been runners up in a stupid number of elite prospects out of HS.
I'd say bring Mo D back. But it looks like he's predicted to St John's. He's a NY kid, so that would be cool if he finished over there under Slick Rick. His style might fit them better too.
Problem is Sherrell is trying to get $4 million. And after Bidunga supposedly just got $5 million, Sherrell's price might've just went up. Not sure what we offered, but obviously it wasn't enough vs what he was hearing from the tamperers. Hell, depending on the agent, God knows what crazy shite these players are hearing, true or not.
We really need to follow Michigan's strategy. Somebody needs to suck some billionaire cock, and instead of Hermes bags, buy us some fricking bigs. What's the point of having so many sorostitues if we can't get some sugar baby NIL bucks?

Donnie Freeman from Syracuse hit the portal. Weren't we heavily involved in his recruitment?
Yep, we were runners up. Dude is a baller when he's healthy. I'd love to have him.

That said, Malone is in his 50s and doesn't have an escort masquerading as his girlfriend.
The problem wasn't that she's an escort masquerading as his girlfriend. The problem is he had his girlfriend masquerading as assistant head coach or director of operations. She was barking out orders to people, like a fricking lunatic.

He is a Detroit kid, so that wouldn't be surprising. They were a mess with Juwan when he was a recruit.
Bradley sucked losing. Though Arizona probably runs a more favorable system for his playing style. Nimari had a good career as a and D guy and plays a lot of minutes for Michigan.
Sherrell just fricking hurts. It really fricking sucks to lose a key starter especially a mobile big. frick this bullshite.
You'd think a big with NBA aspirations would be all over Bama. Nobody will familiarize them with their future roles better than here. And with supposed big new money, we still look fricking defenseless to keep our guys.

TBB is good enough that I’d like to see him healthy with more time in the scheme.
And maybe he can spend the off-season lifting with the football team? Maybe eat his meals with the offensive linemen?

He actually does look like a solid depth piece for somebody. 4pts/4rebs/1block in 15 minutes playing at Tennessee. But he literally shoots zero 3s. So he might not fit as a 4 for us.

And they looked damn good in the tournament. They were more physical in the paint than us, and could actually rebound.
No doubt. I'm glad they seem to have kept things civil at a minimum. I'm impressed it stayed as quiet as it did.
But I'm even more amazed the new girlfriend stayed so quiet. I did about 2 minutes of research, and holy shite, the jacket's aren't the only thing reminiscent of Wimp. She's the director of basketball operations at Bama.
Here's her bio...
She started working with a G league coach in high school, started as a student assistant in the basketball office in 2015, was right hand to the operations director for 4 years after graduating in 17, and became the director in 2020.
It sounds like this woman fricking loves basketball. And she started volunteering for the basketball program back in the end of Grant/beginning of Avery era. And she's been with the department for 11 years. This chick is absolutely Gump as frick. Nate found love in a early 30s basketgump. No wonder he doesn't want to go anywhere else.

Alex Accetta is in her fifth year as a member of the Alabama men’s basketball full-time staff and enters her first season as the director of operations. She was promoted into her new role following the 2020-21 season after spending the previous four years as the program’s operations coordinator.
Accetta is one of six women in the Southeastern Conference who currently serves in a coach or support staff role, one of 22 across the top six leagues in collegiate basketball (ACC, Big 12, Big East, Big Ten, Pac-12, SEC) and one of fewer than 50 women in the nation who are a member of a Division I men’s basketball staff.
In her current role, Accetta assists with a multitude of projects throughout the year, including oversight of the men’s basketball budget, managers and graduate assistant managers, as well as the day-to-day schedules for both the team and head coach Nate Oats. In addition, she handles all team travel logistics and coordination as well as ticket coordination for the program. Accetta also serves as the oversight for all men’s basketball off-court events such as Pro Day, Parents Weekend, Alabama basketball camps and guest speakers.
Accetta was promoted into her current role after having served four years (2017-21) as the operation coordinator for the program. Among her duties while in that position were to assist the then-director of operations with team travel and logistics, assist with ticket requests for recruiting, high school coaches, and program ticket requests and helped coordinate on-campus visits, among other duties. Prior to that, she worked as a student assistant in the men’s basketball office from 2015-17.
Accetta comes from a basketball background, as she spent three years (2010-13) working closely with Hall of Famer Nancy Lieberman, who was the head coach and assistant general manager with the Texas Legends of the NBA G-League.
Accetta, a native of Dallas, earned her degree in business management from UA and graduated in May of 2017.

There's great news to hear. No I'm surprised they have the specific number mentioned. If we can get our nil up into that range, that will be huge in attracting top talent. It might have helped us the land a couple freshmen we had hoped to get in this class.

I wouldn't really worry. There's a few that still have hang ups. But if you wanna suck your buddies dick, have at it. Whether you're giving head to your girlfriend or boyfriend, I'd honestly rather not hear about it.
Hate that it's over, and Philon has played his last game for Bama. But it's been a pretty solid year. Especially for what was considered a rebuilding year. I said back in early February I thought we had a ceiling of a sweet 16 team. So I'm definitely glad we accomplished that.
Unfortunately we ran into a monster of a team. But they still fought like hell, and gave them a good scare. So they've got nothing to be ashamed of in that loss. To get to the sweet 16 is always a great accomplishment.
Now let's plug a few holes in the portal, and tear shite up next year.
