Not that it adds much but there are is high school 10 miles north of me that puts out seriously good talent in the SEC. From the day Bryan Harsin set foot on campus not one coach or recruiter from Auburn to speak of went to this high school to at least meet and greet the coaches. Since HF has set foot on campus at least 2 coaches/recruiters have met with the HS coach. There is a RB that will probably end up being a top 5 recruit in the state of Ga assuming he doesn't sustain any catastrophic injuries. Just my $.02

I’ve got some friends that coach at different places in Alabama and Georgia. They basically echoed the same statement. Didn’t see Harsin a single time in his 1.5 years, but have seen or spoken to Hugh 2-3 times a piece.

Serious question- why didn’t assistant coaches go on their own? Would it have been the CBH had a schedule that wouldn’t allow it? I get he did not prioritize but still seems like the asst coaches would have if allowed.
Just curious

They could have/should have.
I think the boise guys just didn’t understand what a 24/7 365 process recruiting is in this part of the country…. It is such a foreign concept to them… they had no idea you should be networking with HS coaches constantly.

Even if this was true, and I think that it was, it's remarkable that even after a year and a half he still didn't get it.

Who knows honestly…. My post is kinda giving them the benefit of the doubt, but they prob don’t deserve it. Could’ve been ego… or maybe work ethic… or priorities… doesn’t really matter at this point.
One thing is that is obvious… at least freeze and staff get it. just being out there selling the program to the regions high school coaches so good to see.

What was Harsin thinking? Seriously. Did he think he could just outsource recruiting in the SEC against Saban and Kirby? Did he have such a low opinion of SEC football that he assumed he would "coach up" 3 stars to win games against G-League NFL teams? Was he going to completely rely on the portal with a few high school recruits (that we wouldn't retain) sprinkled in?
What Harsin failed to calculate was that southern fans are very tuned into recruiting and in general to "talent aquisition/retention". He blew the recruiting game off, but when he wasn't producing wins he left us with no hope for the future. We knew there wasn't any talent waiting in the wings. We might have been patient if we thought he was restocking the cupboards.

I think that's what also contributed to Gus's termination. No big class on the horizon.

Colton Hood was bumped to a 4* last week and Tyler Scott is now a 4* as well. He got bumps on 247 and On3

We moved up to 17 on 247
Not a major jump but still a bump.
