re: Woman killed by mountain lion in Colorado

quote:Moutain lions and bears associate dogs with hunters. It’s not so much the dog but who the dog works for. I know a couple who live outside Glacier who walk their place every night and that was their reasoning.
That dog is just a treat
They were breaking in a new pair last time as the two others were aging and they wouldn’t live there without a trained pair. Talk about green eyes in the dark and seemed serious. They run them like urbanites take theirs out for a dump. They raised hell at me for not taking the bear spray because everyone has to do their part… dogs included.
Told this before on outdoor board.
Was hiking slot canyon’s in Utah when I saw two bighorn up right at about 30 feet, damn that’s strange, they didn’t bolt but nervious. And then across to the left there it was about 30 feet above me. Wasn’t very large cat but all Mountain Lion. Wasn’t too long but time stretched as each of us kept looking around at each other. All I could think was to get my daypack off and give it a face full if it leaped. Make myself seem big. Mexican stand off ended when the two sheep went straight up and the cat slowly withdrew. Me, I just kept saying thank YOU thank YOU over and over for a little while.

She needs to be incarcerated at the men prison …
I’ve always heard they know what to do with crimes against children.

Starts with a coach.
And not just in name only. We’ve had a couple pretenders lately and the portal is going to speak volumes. Because we don’t need all-stars we need work horse Jimmie’s and Joe’s.

Whatever system they were chosen for I hope to never see it again.
I’d be more worried if we had kept a bunch and forced into plan-b to just make do. ETA: that’s the slow rebuild

Mending but still have another 8 days of antibiotics.
Could be as simple as a scratch. It’s bacterial so it doesn’t take much. And at 69 the boys were already a little long in the tooth. White blood count had them worried and then well I followed suit.
Was just glad it wasn’t another hernia. Sad part was longer they got the shorter everything else got… like dribbling on your shoes or not going. Made you feel old.

Like a tennis ball but harder.
Haven’t ever had so many women looking at them one after the other, after the other. Wake you up to look at them and it wasn’t fun at all.

Putting it simply: if this staff is any good
They’ll just be glad they’re gone.
Anyone notice Hall with the Barkley eyes after that three?
If some of that was true there’d be not only loss of NIL money for some but a quick kick out the door… and we didn’t see that happen.
And Maybe
…. these boys have not only found out they’re not going to get paid starter pay any longer but that they’re techicnally third stringers in reality. We’ve been feed horse shite for so long many have gotten use to the taste and so have they.

Nope and nope.
Their makeup alone screams hey look at me. Without either one speaking a word.

For me the two best I’ve owned are a 1995 F150 with a 300 straight 6 and a 2007 Silverado Classic with 4.2
The classic was a half year model where they used up all the parts they had left. The 5.4 is the generally more sought after than the 4.2 but it has been bullet proof and still purrs like a kitten.
2007 marked the decline as this was when the next gen began. And they were nothing but problems for a long time. It’s not my everyday driver any long but with a battery tender it still cranks up like it is. Makes an excellent leave on the side of the road vehicle for whitewater paddling with extend cab seating and truck racks.
The 300 straight 6 makes a lot of best lists.
Etc - Second F150 to Silverado
