re: Thoughts on new 20V Dewalt set - awestruck
this Both are these are top shelf good; however you'll likely want to stay with one brand because of duplicating battery costs. They might surprise you? I went with the Makita mainly because of overall cost of whole line and near same quality. Definitely consider the newer brush-less motors. ...

re: Frogs everywhere - awestruck
Frogs good, too many bad, is it a new problem or old? You got much plant growth around the house? Maybe cutting back some might help. I've got a couple green tree frogs that live off the moths on my kitchen window. Like he said it's the light that draws these two. eta: Have you check...

re: Better cover song - awestruck
Like it two tough choices. I'll go with one for two hundred. Disturbed version seemed 2me to be less covery with it's much darker emphasis on word play. While Zombie was startling at first but quickly (2me) went flat from being over produced; much like an overdone Phil Spector wal...

re: 2 Kayak Adventures (pics added) - awestruck
Hint: the blades on a kayak paddle are best when offset, so that each stroke falls naturally at 90 degrees into the water. Play around with it and you'll likely find it's like holding a tennis racket wrong. Sixty degrees will probably seem less hard on the body and feel much more efficient. ...

re: Grand Canyon today... - awestruck
Wow, neon lights, horse drawn carriage, and fancy eats. All the stuff you'll thankfully never see once getting to the north rim. Living there you already know... but for others wondering about the difference search for Kaibab National Forest which is the North Rim. It can look like an Idaho me...

re: Grand Canyon today... - awestruck
Ive always wondered how anyone survived there years ago. . .
Apparently quite well. In the winter they headed down deep in the canyon where it's dramatically warmer. My first trip was by canoe and it was absolutely wonderful weather in late Sept/Oct (first weekend for dift-wood ...

re: The Gays Launch Their Attack On Religious Freedom - awestruck

just talk about principles
Please tell me you're not going to use religion here.
It'd only be fair, prudent, and an about face. These folk, as well others such as 'the rainbow coalition', struck just such a blow with their theft and usurpation of GOD's c...

re: Backpacking gear you use or would like to have - awestruck
Yep - got the Sawyer too. Always thought it'd be ok tucked in a ziplock and stuffed in the footbox of a sleeping bag to keep from freezing. Never yet. When that cold we usually use one person's leaving the rest dry for another day. ...

re: Beautiful wooden boat - awestruck
Wow - what a boast.. . (no misspellin'n) Grew up with Lyman (something or other) a late 1950's to early 60's model. It was my Dads pride and joy. Really didn't appreciate until it was long gone and starting to build wooden canoes. Seemed just old and not cool - boy was I wrong....
