re: One scam you fell for

Posted by slacker130 on 6/14/25 at 10:06 am
I fell for the speakers scam in the early 90s at Auburn. They lasted all thru college and beyond. Was sad to throw them away.
Last few years, yep. After melanoma and basal cell removals, I wear a shirt.

Fair skin, blonde, green eyes. Grew up on the beach, worked outside, played sports, and I fly. Pretty much worse case and now I see the dermatologist every 3-6 months depending on what they find.

Now, a quick dip in the water to pee- I'm skinning off the shirt. But the rest of the time, shirt.

we dropped $15k

Should have dropped it in a 529. That way, buddy can go to any school he wants, instead of being on scholly at East Middle Southwest State Technical College.

Big mouth = big south

sleeve of wizard, nearly guaranteed.

At least in my travels, that holds true.
Ok, so those of us who, during the last coaching search, thought Hugh was a mid coach with serious baggage. We thought he wouldn't lead Auburn to the promise land. Now, as it becomes more apparent, we should not talk about it? Each game he drops to a lesser talented team we should just wait until he's fired to say a word?

I thought I was recently granted authority to complain again? I thought us non-donors to OTV were finally afford full rights to bitch again since the collectives were going away?

So many rules here.

I'm looking forward to seeing Hugh's most talented team this fall. Still hoping he proves me wrong.
I find a subscription to Consumer Reports much cheaper than an extended warranties.

2019 Tundra 36k warranty, sitting at 96k now with no problems ever.

Other cars include a 4Runner, Rav4, Subaru, and Acura.

All Consumer Reports highly rated.
That is truly gut-wrenching news. Praying for you and your daughter.

Please, if you have the means, get yourself and your daughter to MD Anderson for second opinions.

The lack of talent was GLARING. Just look at the NFL Draft.

Didn't follow the draft. How'd Cal, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Mizzou, and Vandy do in the draft?

What is GLARING is we lose to less talented teams, AT HOME. Freeze seems apathetic about winning and always has some excuse.

This board is a terrible judge of talent

Yeah, but if my wife and daughters (no pics) know an O Lineman's name because he was solely responsible for so many blown plays, chances are he sucks bigly.

I totally expect him to turn it around and be a freaking wall this year, because that would suck.
At the entrance of my neighborhood, a 16 year old girl was killed when she crossed the centerline and head-on'd another vehicle. It was on Christmas Day night.

Terrible tragedy and unspeakable grief for the family. I had children her same age, driving there daily, so it hit close to home.

A memorial went up quickly on our HOA maintained property. It grew quickly with all kinds of stuffed animals, potted flowers, lights, posters, sports equipment. It was nearly enough stuff to fill a pick up truck.

I felt so bad for the fam, but after seeing this pile of faded & wet stuff for months, it began to annoy me. I never did anything or removed anything but it must have annoyed someone else too, because a few days after the one year anniversary, it was removed. There's nothing there now. I think no one would be annoyed with a small cross or something, but I do not think they were religious, because there was never any religious symbols at the memorial.

When AT&T ran fiber in my hood. They didn't mess up any yards

When AT&T ran it in my yard, the messed it up. They also started at 6:30 on a Saturday morning, which pissed me off more.

It took at least 6 weeks and me doing my own leveling for the yard to look somewhat normal. I swore I never would use AT&T because of it.

But, I did use AT&T fiber eventually, and it kicks Cox Cable's arse.

5lb river spot will whip a 8lbs largemouth's arse.

Freeze has this year to show a pulse or it’s on to the next guy.

The problem is the "next guy" will be some dumb arse hire again. Because the morons that hired the "last guy" are still the same morons shopping for the "next guy."

So, does this mean those of us that canceled OTV a while back or never were donors are now able to bitch about AU sports again?

Seemed the OTV donors here said us donor-less weren't afforded the right to complain. We back on even ground?

Will be in prayer for you and your daughter.

Please consider MD Anderson. They definitely helped my mom live beyond expectations with dedifferentiated liposarcoma. Her team out there were incredible people.
Anyone have a Flux Legion? For some reason, I really want one.

This will be the first fall without having a kid as a student at AU since 2018.

I still have tickets and a tailgate, but I'm not sure how many games I'll get to. Definitely the uga and bama, but I haven't looked closely at the schedule to know what else I'll make the schlep to.

Never forget that AccuWeather had Katrina hitting the bend area of FL 24 hrs from landfall. Big miss.
