Short leashes in college are tough… the perception is he’s a lame duck and that kills recruiting. Especially 6 yrs ago pre portal.
I’ll stand by firing Gus wasn’t a bad decision… the timing was not good given how the landscape was going to change… and obviously two awful hires.
That said we’re here now… Golesh will get his chance.

OL play is an issue for most teams, but especially those with first year head coaches. Feel like you can count on one hand the number of teams with ‘good’ lines.
Idk if it’s the portal or the schemes, but OL play across CFB has never been worse.

That’s after a dreadful first quarter of negative yards. We gained 400ish yards in 3 quarters. Similar to the Baylor game… got off to a bad start but got things somewhat clicking.
With this OL it is what it is… gonna be a lot on browns shoulders to carry offensive load against good defenses.

I’m worried about what we’re gonna look like next year when he’s gone lol… I’m sure Golesh will find someone but it’ll be a ton of production to replace.

Jesus Christ… brown is way down the list of issues. In fact he’s the only one keeping us in that game. He’s the teams leading rusher.

Fans are hyperbolic… a loss Saturday would suck… suck more than your normal sec game given the circumstances… but there are 8 conferences games after that.
A win or loss next weekend vs Vandy and all the good or bad from the UF game will be forgotten.

Since their first two drives of the season, they’ve given up 10 total points in 21 drives. That’s pretty good regardless of competition.

I know this is a difficult concept for you to understand… but the situation Harsin inherited from Gus (including but not limited to a future starting nfl QB) was infinitely better than the one Hugh inherited from Harsin.

Offenses have flattened out bc of these rule changes and portal… it’s minor league football playing nfl rules. It’s all about your qb and turnover margin.

Baylor picked up fourth down conversions on both of its TD drives… 24-10ish auburn could’ve been a reasonable outcome.

Offense actually moved the ball okay… far from efficient and way too many negative plays and turnovers. But it was game one.
And third down defense was solid, esp after first quarter… Baylor just made some key 4th down conversions that led directly to their two TDs.
