Word is Cohen has been very busy. Already talked to 7 or 8. Plans to talk to 15 and the hire may drag on until after the playoffs.

There’s no way it goes that long. I fully expect a decision to be made by Monday/Tuesday after the iron bowl.
Dilly’s name seems to be picking up steam, but it’s hard to tell if it’s Agent/Dilly trying to get more resources out of ASU or if the interest is real.
There are a few but it’s few and far between.

Most of my info comes from HS coaches around the state that are plugged in.(better for recruiting) but I do have some booster friends that donate a ton of money. (Different tax bracket than me.)

Also friends with some former players although they hear less and less through as we all get into our mid/late 30s.

Dufners lip, Rejects, and like two others that post on Bunker do hear a lot and the beat writers know infinitely more than they can say.

Drink.
Interviews start this week supposedly.

Durkin, Sumrall, Golesh, Franklin, Dillingham.

According to Rejects on The bunker.

The only two I have heard for sure with my own ears is Sumrall and Golesh.

Hes not racist you stupid pussy

Explain that to every black families living room he'd have to sit in.

Dude was fired for a reason.

1.) he was to stupid to not put that stuff in writing.
2.) he was stupid enough to say it in the first place.

Lincoln’s agent has been putting his name out there for at least a month.
Small update, but I’ve talked with a few buddies who are connected.

They think that Brohm is Cohen’s choice as of right now.

I’ve wanted Brohm at AU for a long time, so I’m really hoping this works out.
Brohm’s name is picking up a ton of steam both here and at LSU.

He isn’t a serious candidate. One low level booster thinks it’s a good idea, but nobody else that matters does.

I think it’s a 5% chance or lower.

If it was Fisher, are there any guesses as to who the OC would be?

Spavital

DURK stays on as DC.
Little bit of an update on what I’m hearing.

Sumrall
DJD
Brohm
Jimbo Fisher
Dilly.
Charles Kelly

The rumor with Jimbo is he’d take the job for next to nothing and we could roll the rest of that money to NIL/STAFF HIRES. (I don’t think this is likely, but he has an above zero chance)

I think Durkin would stay under that pretense. I doubt he leaves Auburn unless he’s made to leave. He’s currently in the process of building a house here, plus he’s got studs at every level of the defense for the foreseeable future.

I’ve heard Sumrall/Durkin aren’t particularly friendly with one another so Sumrall is likely a total rebuild on both sides of the ball.

I do expect us to have a coach really quickly after the iron bowl.

What I’m hearing (coaching search)

Sumrall is the leader right now and will likely be the next coach, but DJ has a legitimate chance here too especially if the team responds to him the way I think they will.

Charles Kelly would be third place at the moment and his ability to put a top end staff together is what is getting his name mentioned. Plus he played for Coach Dye and is extremely well thought of.

I don’t expect Drinkwitz or James Franklin to get an interview.

Dillingham, Brent Key, will likely get interviewed, I don’t think Key is going to leave Ga Tech though unsure on Dilly. ASU made some promises to him that haven’t been met. Same with Jeff Brohm, I think he’ll get interviewed, but not sure he’d leave his Alma mater.

I’m actually fine with any of the top 3 getting the job. Kelly would likely retain Durk, I don’t think Sumrall would.

N King has an article out on 247 that reads like Sumerall has been actively shopping himself to Auburn for a few weeks.

He has been. I expect things to move very quickly after the iron bowl.

We’ll still interview a few coaches, but I think Sumrall is easily the leader as of right now.

Pruitt was arguably one of the best DCs in the game before taking the Ut job.

I think Kelly would be able to put an excellent staff around himself. I also think DJD stays if Kelly is hired.

Was told that DJ probably doesn’t stay if Sumrall is hired.

I’m all in for Sumrall. But he’s a crap shoot as well.

Strong Napier vibes here for me.

I’ve heard Kelly’s name mentioned as well.

Charles Kelly/Drink/Sumrall are the main 3 I’ve heard over and over
By 5pm tomorrow 100%

By 12 I’d say 50/50

If you’re still blaming Gus and Harsin you are living in pre-NIL CFB land. Gus offense went cold. Harsin was never really given a chance because the AD went rogue on the hire and the boosters didn’t support him. You can’t win in NIL era without booster support. That is why they tried to fire him year one. They didn’t want him to be successful.

You could have given Harsin all the NIL money in the world and it wouldn’t have mattered.

Charles Kelly is the only answer. I actually think he would be solid, but it won’t ever happen

He’s been talked about in this potential search. Not sure how seriously.
