Sorry to hear about your cat. We have done that a few times over the years.

Will be at the game tonight taking my little girl who is 2 to her first game. Hoping she enjoys it

When we lived there, I got deployed after 9/11 & the wife took the kids to many of the games with our boys. They had a great time back then. Hope your little one loves it like my boys did.

Those CA taxes about to put a dent in his dream.

Yep and if pursued to pay back the 60% of what he got paid since Feb...really might be in the hole...

With our bullpen how in the heck can we jump like that?
quote:

I figure Bruce wouldn't let that happen if the University wanted to

It really isn't his choice as the money didn't come from the university but the separate entity. If money has been paid out then they are entitled to reclaim (I believe quoted) 60% of that outlay.

I think Arky will go after them also. It is time to do it.

When you want to be a big boy and get paid. You sign a contract. Like those getting student loans and blowing that money and whining about it.They are adults at 18 so they signed they can be responsible.

I just think this ship has sailed. You have to think about the current roster and the fact the coaches may be out of patience.

I agree that the ship has sailed. As disruptive as he is in practice etc. The past team handled it. Not sure how this new group would react. I think it is time to say adios to CBM. Get 60% of any money paid out on this contract and move on.

I can see how people will say it is hurting recruiting but is also tells people that we pay and are serious so if you are immature then don't come here because it is a tough place and we hold you responsible. I think more schools will start doing this.

Auburn and OTV must hold the line.

I agree as it will set the standard. I don't know who is in his ear of CBM but I think they are did him some harm. Just finished Auburn Tigers on Auburn Live Basketball show. They had some interesting information on his contract. Auburn doesn't have to bring him back under the same contract as he already breached it. I heard also that lawyers reviewed the contract before it was signed. Also, he has been around college for at least 4 years but still hasn't graduated which may be a concern if he is going to another school.

TLDR: CBM may be f*ked if OTV held him to the contract if they paid him any money on that contract.
quote:

I hope we hold him/whatever team he goes to, to the full amount owed to sign him. I think he’s a very good ball player and could have been a major part of the team this next year, but I can’t see things working out in the future from a chemistry standpoint after this stunt.

The next round had a great breakdown on his NIL. He signed in Feb before the season was over and was going to make over what Broome made at last years prices. I think his buy out is something like 650K. Well it seems like if he waited the prices would be higher. He found out the kid from UCF was going to make ~2mil or a little over compared to his 1.1 or 1.2 mil and got mad about it. So yeah. if you take a look at it his agent gets a cut, then taxes are taken out, it gets to a point that he won't make any money or be in debt if he does go somewhere else & Auburn decides to hold him to the contract.

I live by the rule that if you want to kill yourself, go right ahead. Its your life. But dont inconvenience everyone else doing it.

Fully on board with this philosophy. Don't care what you do in the privacy of your home so long as it doesn't affect kids or others that don't want to be involved, nor do I want to have to pay for it or the after affects.

But if the smell from the neighbor is making its way up the street with the wind then its no longer just a sixer. It's a nuisance and its trashy.

The amendment that we defeated here in FL that would have made it legal to smoke, would have allowed people to smoke it anywhere, if you read the law even where you can't smoke cigarettes like the beach.

And it would only allow 5 companies (same as our Medical MJ) to go from Growing to selling. You wouldn't be allowed to grow it for personal use. (BAD LAW) anyway, allowing people to smoke anywhere would have made it bad here in FL in public.

Thanks. Give some years for your education (how I ended up at Auburn) Great way to get educated. Worked out for both of us. They even sent me to get a Masters & to many nice vacation spots over the years, ones with people who just want a moment of your time and to stand still while they aim some stuff your way!

More scared of the night traps in storms than any combat.

Right. Just like they probably shouldn't be drunk on the job

Correct. I totally agree. Don't care what kind of drug it is.

Pot is no big deal,

Never understood this sentiment. I was in on a bust of a drug ring when I was stationed in San Diego & heard this statement in the proceedings by the guys boss. The dude in question was popped for MJ and other drugs. He was one of our Riggers for our ejection seats. I asked the boss so you are ok with the guy getting high & working on your seat before you go flying?

Many people have jobs that can affect lives if they mess up by being high or not in their right mind while working.

I don't care if people do all kinds of drugs in their own home where they can only harm themselves. But if they are out driving or working where you could harm someone else then that is a societal problem.

/Rant Off For those that need a little background, I flew for the Navy & was also the squadrons legal officer. The bust was coordinated that took in a ring that shipped it in from Mexico and distributed it in the area in the early 90s

Apparently CBM can transfer within the SEC if the MSU player is transferring to us now.

Correct. The BB Season ended in the Spring Semester so this is their first portal period. Transfers are not restricted like Football because it is their 2nd portal period in that sport.

My thoughts on CBM: Not that mature, won't play in the NBA, May make europe league somewhere, trying to get his best money now as it is probably the most he will make in a year ever playing. (Hope I am wrong & he makes it to a pro league making good $$) I can see him being upset at what others are making and if he is lower than them as he was a starter last year. We will have to wait and see how it goes but I think we will be fine.
