Bruce shitting the bed in the tournament most of the time has me convinced of only one thing. That is that Steven Pearl shouldn’t just be handed the job when BP retires like it’s been mentioned. Steven hasn’t ever earned anything separate from his dad and BP thinks he should get the job.

I’m frustrated at the wasted year and the shite play we saw. I’m ready for Bruce to start acting like other successful head coaches and trim the fricking fat. No reason Moore and KD should’ve returned, no reason that Lior was kept on scholarship instead of using it on someone better.

Tre Donaldson, KD, Moore, and possibly Aden should be told to get the frick out. 6 fricking points from two point guards Vs Yale is unacceptable. They can go average 6 PPG at Troy.

KD can honestly eat a bag of dicks, the dude is the most selfish, reckless, and unreliable player I can remember ever playing for Auburn. I will not miss him whatsoever.

TLDR: I’m melting again at 330 in the morning

Edit: Jboy is a douche

We have dumbass fans. We could lose every year in the first round and Bruce should never be fired.

It sucked losing but get real we finished the season in 2nd place in the conference, we won the conference tournament. We were ranked #7 going into the tournament.

Our fans and just society in general expects perfection. It’s never gonna happen. There really are no perfect players or perfect games. So give up on that bullshite. Also, no I’m not happy with losing a 4/13 game. shite happens. Losing a 4/13 match up is much better than a 9-23 season like our history was.

So for anyone that feels like JBoy does can either “grow up or go” in my opinion.

We need to keep building Auburn basketball history. People need to stop with trying to drive wedges in the fanbase. If it’s not at players it’s at coaches. I want to win and am probably more competitive then is healthy but I at least have a logical mind left at least I think so. We don’t have to accept mediocre teams and Bruce doesn’t put mediocre teams out there. We will be fine. Welcome to the Auburn emotional roller coaster of it’s not your thing get off the train.

Amen! We still have plenty of good to be happy about like winning the SEC championship. Auburn basketball is really special. We have the most amazing fan base in the country. Anyone who has been to one of our home basketball games comes away with admiration for our program.

We could pay a lot of good D1 coaches not to mention mid major guys.

Like Jeff Lebo, or Tony Barbee?

Let's apply that to football too and maybe hire someone like Bryan Harsin.

Just curious what you see to believe the future is brighter with Pearl than someone else

The entire history of our basketball suggests otherwise. To flippantly suggest we can easily upgrade the best basketball coach we’ve ever had is dumb, even for you.

If you were a moron.

Look, we lost because Baker-Mazarra did something really stupid, combined with a guy from the other team who was in the zone. It happens. I was pissed we lost like everybody else. It sucks, but it happens.

We are relevant and competitive every single year because of Bruce. Some of you guys need to get a grip on the big picture.

The announcers talking about Bruce getting his guys from the lowly, poors rank to get their "drive" was pretty interesting.

Pearl has to learn how to refine some of that edge and that's a good problem.

You would rather pull them back than have to push them. That's a CorchJayism

I guess it depends on what you consider an upgrade? Would you take a 20 win regular season and multiple wins in the tourney over 25 wins and an early exit?

How about some top 15 recruiting classes? That’s something bama has kicked our arse in and they aren’t exactly a “blue blood”

Once again… just playing devils advocate and sparking conversation. It is the offseason after all. I do believe though it is not crazy to think someone else couldn’t at least sustain our “relevancy” if that’s what we’re paying for now.

I’ll take the guy the consistently wins trophies, has 20+ win seasons and gets us into the tournament even though we may have underperformed there in the past than an unknown situation. It’s not even worth talking about. As far as recruiting, he’s done pretty damn well there considering we’re hindered by a shitty apparel contract.

Not personally. Hard to compare apples to apples but I would put a regular season and conference tourney championship roughly on par with an elite 8 appearance. I would for sure value them over a S16 appearance.

Not sure anyone should get caught up in recruiting rankings with basketball until they figure out a good way to combine transfers into the rankings.

It’s possible but I think it’s hardly probable. Just a ludicrous thought IMO for anyone to even remotely think that Auburn moving on from Bruce would be a good idea.

I see best case we hire a guy like Jans or Howland for instance. A decent mid major coach or a re-tread that can get you to the tourney somewhat regularly but isn’t really competing for trophies every year like we are with Pearl.

Just a reminder that literally this season we won 27 games, an SEC tourney title, and were a game away from a regular season title. We spent most of the season ranked and much of the season in the top 15.

We won a regular season title the season before last. Even last year in a down year we won 22 games and a tourney game.

All this despite some really tough misses vs the G League Ignite and tough breaks with guys like Chance Westry and Aden Holloway. We are right there within small margins of top 10 programs

If it takes allowing murderous thugs, turning the lights out on opponents, and relying on less than scrupulous selection committee members then no thanks.

I'm fine with the moral implications and results of (most) of these fine young men and staff.
