Ding Ding Ding. We have a winner folks
I’m not sure about the most cut throat since Dye. Maybe since Tuberville. Tubs was a menace until the undefeated season. Probably the greatest Auburn team ever assembled. They were incredible in every facet of the game. Could run at will, could pass at will, stop the run and stop the pass, great kicking game. No USC would not have beaten the 04 Auburn team that bullshite transitive property crap was flushed down the drain when we crushed UGA. Because they beat us down pretty good the year before as well.

Gus was pretty cut throat as well but in a different manner. Either you could stop the run game or you couldn’t. If you couldn’t he’d put 50 on you.

Golesh I want to see if the silent bravado is real. Granted I think this will be his least talented team he coaches at AU. But still has the roster to win 7 games easily.

I'm far from an insider, but it looks to me like some boosters are willing to throw money at Golesh right now.

Think back who met with Golesh right before recruiting took off? You’ll be able to put 1 and 1 together then.

I don’t disagree with you at Bubs age. His swing is what it is. There is a huge hole in his swing and pitchers know it now. His job is to work on the weaknesses within his swing.

Bub is the most naturally gifted player on the team and it’s probably not close other than possibly Bingaman or Mason. But baseball IQ is something that has to be drilled and drilled into players.

As I said over and over and over all season you can’t strike out with a runner on 3rd with less than 2 outs. Just can’t happen. Especially looking. It’s that simple. It is going to happen occasionally but when it’s late in the game and you’re down 1 just putting it in play ties the game most of the time.

Only other thing I really think we need to work on is the bunt game. From players that should be good at bunting. Sometimes I think it just willing to truly sacrifice yourself. Everyone trying to get that perfect bunt in no man’s land when all we need is to advance the runner.

Granted a lot depends on the makeup of the team. Mason, Bingaman, and some of the other freshmen that played should bring more power next season. If we find a could DH’s that can crush. We may be a gorilla ball team that plays for big innings. A lot of strategy is determined before the season starts. This year was working the count on starting pitching. Next year may be jumping on the first good pitch you see. We as fans have to live with those decisions.

Anyway I expect all our batters to improve slightly and I will always trust Butch until he gives us a couple seasons not to or appears to not have the drive for the game anymore.
There is the lead off base stealer I was mentioning needing.

Now a basher at DH. Probably need 3-4 arms. And a replacement for any transfer.

Might need a utility guy that play multiple position and hits for average at a small school. Might never see the field but can give you quality innings if needed
I haven’t kept up with a ton of recruiting but seems like a solid class. Not an elite class but a very good core and bodies on the OL
If it weren’t summer there would be plenty of southern ladies to ogle over.

Hope he does well at the camp and learns a few things.
I ain’t reading that shite but I’m sure it’s something blah blah blah. I’m sure the young players have to mentally overcome losing in the Supers as the overall 4 seed.

So same situation can apply to every team in the nation except whoever wins the championship. But writers know we are pussies as fans that will nitpick shite to death so they get clicks playing up to the loud minority.

Yes I wanted to make it to Omaha, yes I wanted to win a natty. We can up a hair short. Ok. Still a great season with an extremely young team. Almost all contributors can come back plus we have 2-3 decent true freshman arms that are live. They will have to continue to work on consistency. And maybe Whalen can get healthy after some arm problems early this season he came in with high expectations.

Need to find a little power at the DH spot. Need a true base stealer at the lead off spot. I figure Rembert goes into the draft I think he is still slotted in the top 3 rounds. Also I think Petro is draft eligible sophomore as well. But maybe NIL will keep him around. I would guess Bingaman will slide to 3rd because Eric will most likely enter the draft. Not sure what more he can show. Elite Glove decent power just slow running

I get it I was a long time football season ticket holder. I have always made a good living but even with that they priced me out of going long before NIL. I now catch a game or possibly 2 a year.

But hard to argue expecting championships but not willing to pony up. The big donors everyone complains about have been footing the bill since the early 80s. We as Auburn fans are pathetic in NIL donations as common fans compared to a lot of our peers. A couple years ago when the every day fan was challenged to put up $1m and would be matched my anonymous donor we didn’t come close. Thats when I realized I was throwing my few dollars away each month. If others would have donated I would have continued to donate
NIL has helped us but takes money out from other sports. Without it us and bama couldn’t compete we saw those days
I have high expectations always. Always looking for greatness but you have to enjoy the good times. Butch has put us in the golden era of Auburn baseball. We better enjoy it.

It’s extremely difficult to win in tournament settings.

We needed some the upper classmen to step up. Needed Todd Clay to just be UAB Todd Clay. Have no clue what happened to him just folded after a tough start. That should have been a 16+ HR 50+ rbi guy that gave us nothing.

We should see a much more mature team next season just hope we can hold on to most of the core. Pitching is young as well
You don’t fire people on Top 5 teams good lord
What y’all think on Rembert.. return, transfer, of enter the draft.

I know Rembert coming into the season was a first rounder. Most thought Top 10 pick. I don’t see it. Not fast enough to be a real base stealer in the pros, just above average glove, lacks pop with high bat speed, average arm. Does have very good bat speed. I would guess he’s a top 8 rounder at this point. He would be a 3 year prospect before reaching triple A with no set backs
I think Fralick (how a real Auburn fan spells it) was 0fer the super.
Damn how many of the 10k were Ole Miss fans that roar on the confirmed out was loud
Why do yall go straight to it’s the coaches fault? The coaches can’t make pitches or swing the bat for the players.

Regardless of how this team ends it’s a top 10 team for the season. Which incredible for this program.

These are both good teams. We probably lost this Super because of how many innings we had to pitch last weekend but when you just give up 5 runs you at least expect the offense to give you a chance.

He let Muschamp convince him
That slowing down the offense would help the defense.
Auburn has won 10 regionals
In their history. Butch has coached 5 of them.
