You mean somebody is going to poison the trees in front of his yard? Or maybe, go down to the lake and shoot a hole in his boat?

Better the one that feels that way, go to the top of Halley Center and take a leap of faith.

Pearl and the basketball program underperforms when it counts.

In March.

Homers downvoting.

Give me Pearl’s under performance any day as someone who lived through the Lebo and Barbee years. We were a basement bottom tier school in the SEC and now look at us. We have never been a more nationally recognized school for Basketball as we are now under Bruce Pearl.

At some point our basketball past can no longer be used as currency to justify underperforming.

Pearl has been here 10 years. The NCAA Tournament performance was a complete failure this year.

I mean I'm not going to lose sleep over it, but it is what it is.

I’ve supported Pearl as passionately as anyone, but there is some truth to this statement. Still, I do think Pearl has more than earned a few more chances. You surely aren’t suggesting we fire him today, are you?

Remember, this is also just the way the basketball cookie crumbles. Last year, Purdue became only the second 1 seed to lose in the first round to a 16 seed. This year they’re in the Final Four. At a minimum, let’s see where Pearl has us 12 months from today.

Pearl, cal, self, Cronin should all be fired according to this board that started watching basketball 5 years ago

I would hope no one wants Coach Pearl fired. I just get tired of seeing Auburn fans just shower love on Bruce and say it is ok and accuse you of being a bad fan if you are upset with the recent results in the tourney. It’s ok to be upset. You can be upset and not want the coach fired.

Well, unless it’s football. That’s different.

Nah, but Pearl’s attitude on his guard recruiting is keeping our ceiling limited. Hopefully he adjusts that.

Been watching college bball for almost 30 years. I live in North Carolina, not in the bball rich history state of Alabama...

My problem with this team was the cocky antics. Pearl lets that stuff go on too much.

No, I don't want him fired. Nobody has even brought that up. So why do you think people want him fired?

It's okay to criticize. It's what fans do... especially when you consider the amount of money spent.
