Smuphy or anyone with connections can hopefully get him on the new staff radar! Would be cool to get him to AU. That said, already an incredible opportunity for your son. Soak in these next few years!
St John's is 23 in the NET. They won't fall below 50 unless they went into absolute free fall. No worries there.
I would sincerely settle for a moral victory Saturday. Just lose by like 8 or something. No more of these 46 point losses against the better teams

9th best offense in the country per KenPom. I agree it's frustrating at times, but the bigger problem is on the other end.
I just don't think this roster is littered with talent that commands high NIL $$$ other than Hall and Pettiford (who is proving he really should just be a piece on a good team, not a centerpiece). I think you could build a much better and attainable roster with the same budget.
You might be right on where this is going but you don't know that this will be the best roster he will coach. Why are you so sure of that?

I do blame both Bruce and Steven for this roster. It is simply not well designed.
Missing as big as we did on Bashir, no true pg, no rim protection, and not one quality perimeter defender.. not sure how you can miss on a roster this badly. We do have some bucket getters but that is not how Bruce built this program. I don't have any real idea what the $$ look like but I am guessing Hall & Pettiford are over half of our budget, and they both suck defensively.

Paying an elite OT, QB money is not far off imo.

1. QB
2. OT
3. Edge

Top 3 imo

Completely agree. These are the 3 high leverage positions in college football today. Next would be CB, Interior OL & WR probably about even
I won't be the first to say it but it is clearly going to be a lesser roster in terms of raw talent. Not debatable.
I don't believe I am a progressive at all

I just don't feel sorry for the Ole Miss players. They are fine. No one is crying about Lane.
Eh, the players are professionals now so I don't really understand this sentiment.
I was reminding myself all last season that it would never be this good again. It was difficult at times because we looked so good so early which immediately raised the expectations through the roof but by the middle of SEC play I was honestly enjoying every game.

I was still hoping deep down Bruce would give us one more 3 year run with a new core and then just like that it was over.

I still think Steven could end up being a good coach but not a chance he gets anywhere near Bruce's level. And if he does end up being merely above average, I think it would be to his disadvantage being the guy following Bruce because with the nepo perception he will always be graded on a curve. Being Bruce's son afforded him the opportunity but the standard will cost him.
Comes down to pocket awareness and decision making at the end of the day. No clue if he's got it.
Yes and no. A lot of defense is instinctive. Jovic tries twice as hard as Broome ever did but Broome had incredible instincts and awareness. He dropped off a little his senior year because of the offensive load but his sophomore and junior years he was a top notch defender.
I mean it depends. If he goes like 20-11 next season and makes the tournament that should be plenty to keep him around. If he wins 4 SEC games and we miss the NIT, probably next year is it.
