So we un-lost a game and are now 17-15. Maybe the committee can stomach that.
I disagree but not because I am anti-Pettiford, I just don't think he makes a ton of sense. Gotta think moneyball approach matters so much now. I don't think there is enough money to go around for his asking price to make sense for our roster building. Granted I could be overshooting what his asking price is, but if he demands $2mil or more then it doesn't make sense.
I only care because it's fun to be a part of it. Bowl games for a 5-7 or 6-6 team aren't fun and never have been.

But yeah if snuck in I think we would get drilled immediately. This team is weak
Thought Tahaad looked a lot better overall in the last 6-8 games. He got better this season imo.

Unfortunately he will be playing for Michigan or somebody else in that realm next season.
We just got inconsistent effort from a lot of guys. Which certainly has a little to do with coaching.

The team generally took care of the ball and had some offensive talent, and rebounded decently. It just had zero mental toughness.
I think second or third team out
I thought the team played hard all the way through other than the body language a couple times pissed me off like every other game this whole season.
Auburn vs Miami (OH) is must see TV. Bruce comments on them and his nepo hire going against them. Make it happen Turner

Yup, but they didn't commit to play for him. There's a difference.

This is more than fair
Hall has some real talent but will go down as one of my least favorite players ever. Absolute meltdown from him in SEC play

This is a little disingenuous.

He lost the team a bit for sure. But were we playing for the tourney today or not?
I never had a super strong opinion on hiring Steven to begin with other than that it probably did make the most sense with the timing. I thought a 5 year contract was a bit insane. But to fire a guy you just hired to a 5 year contract for missing the tournament by one game would signify institutional brain rot.

Especially when, yes, he hasn't even had a group of players commit to play for him yet. Give him next year and fire him if we miss the tourney or worse.

This is too far
Nah, the effort is there, we are just getting beat.

Looked like a foul on the alley oop though. Hand on the chest and moving into him

Beat the Vols and the reward may very well be playing against Miami (OH) in Dayton

...aaaannnnddd there's our first bid thief.

Miami (OH) goes down.

They shouldn't be in the tourney but feels like a foregone conclusion that they are.

We do kinda suck but I don't think this is true. Unless you just mean worst record because at 17-16 it would be the worst record for an at-large bid
If we don't win today we won't get in. I'm certain of that, Lunardi be damned. He's just one of many bracketologists, and most of them don't have us in btw.

There will be a couple of bid thieves. Miami (OH) has been flirting with a loss for weeks now.

If we beat Ole Miss at home or MSU on the road we aren't having this convo today
