It’s an interesting thing. This area was just a huge pasture. No ponds so gators were not here. They built the subdivision, I’m in the country for Sarasota, and dig the holding ponds for the houses. Now they come to the ponds.
We live very close to Myaka State park which is one of the highest concentration of gators in Florida. There are just lots of them around here. We have at least 30 ponds in our subdivision. I bet you every single one of them has at least one gator. And some of the ponds are tiny.
Personally, I love them. And love having them around. Along with the bobcats, coyotes, bald eagles and other crazy shite that’s around here. I could do without the eastern diamondbacks though. frick those things.

yeah but I bet some of your neighbors do. That dude should be relocated. He’s just doing alligator things but sooner or later someone is going to shoot him or he’s going to eat something he shouldn’t or both
They don’t relocate them here. If you call FWC, they are dead.
Plus I have one neighbor who I dislike because of his little noisy dog. One can hope. LOL.

I have no kids and no dogs. So I’m good. LOL.
I do however live around a bunch of dumbasses who have probably already called the FWC on him. Miserable frickers.
This was him yesterday just chilling behind the house

Was in the gulf today on a family trip. My oldest son is down from Georgia. My neighbor sent me this. That is my house with my son’s explorer in the driveway.
I’ve been seeing this guy in the pond behind my house. I think he was trying to cross the road and go to a pond in front of us when he got intercepted by my neighbor. He turned and hauled arse back into our pond. Big boy.

Crazy find at Home Depot today. I have a bunch of desert roses already but loved this thing. I found one like this a few months back at another store, but it was damaged pretty bad on the main Stock. I was just going to buy that one and cut it off, but I held off and did not buy it. Today I found this one and it is absolutely perfect and very healthy looking. Never seen one that tall. I don't even know at this point what the hell I'm gonna do with it, but it looks way different than my other ones are.
Its in a 5 gal pot and 54" tall.

Yes, a plumbing system has to have vents to work properly regardless of a septic or sewer.
I was wondering more about the constant flow of water into a septic tank. When I lived in Georgia, I was on a septic tank. I installed a big ice maker in my garage and wanted to just plumb the drain into my existing drain but if I remember well, you were not allowed and not advised to have it drained in to the septic tank.
I just had it ran out the side of the garage into the flower bed. Mad a damn mess too just like my drain from the AC always does.

yea, I did not have that either. They actually do not come here often. Just too busy and my son changed jobs so much over the past few years, he did not ever have the vacation time to come. His deal. He seems to have settled down here at a place and is doing much better.

Do they drain them into your septic tank as well? If you’re not on sewer

Yes, the width is my issue. I will check into that. I would’ve certainly thought the three-quarter would be a little wider.

Hell, no. My truck is an absolute beast.
What I really like about it is that it was manufactured or designed before the rule that made those trucks become so big.
I remember the Dodge ram was the first one. Compared to my truck it looked like an 18 wheeler. But my truck is my personal truck and it’s not a 18 wheeler. I use it when I need to haul something or just feel like driving it.
I really like not having to climb up into it. I can just turn around and sit down and then swing my legs inside.
It has a full-size bed as well.
So your post brings up the very point as to why I have not traded for a 2500 yet. Down here in Fla, they make the driveways tiny man.. Especially in these subdivisions. I drive the 1500 and my wife has a bronco and with both of them in the driveway side-by-side. It is very difficult to get in and out of the vehicles. A 2500 is just going to make that even more difficult because it is so much larger. So if I decide to go to a 2500, I'm probably going to end up having to buy my wife a smaller vehicle, which she would be OK with, to give us room in the driveway. Just a messed up situation.

What? I got a 2020 with the 5.3 and rolling 170K miles. No issues at all still have original brakes. On 3rd set of tires. 2nd battery. Just got a tune up and fuel system cleaning at150K. Replaced my 6.4” screen (LOL) early on with no issues since. Tranny flush at 100K. About 3 air filters and one cabin filter. Truck has been really good to me.
Awesome man. I had that kind of service out of my 2004 tahoe that I traded in for this 2020 1500. It was a tank and I loved it. I like the new truck but I did hear some horror stories about the new 5.3. I replaced the tranny around 75K miles on mine. I use it for a daily driver and I tow my boat back and forth to the ramp, short distances, about 4 days a week. It is a 25 bay that is probably about 5K on the trailer or close.
I had to replace the front wheel bearing a couple months ago. And I had a bearning go bad on the idler pully early on that was warranty. Other than that, Its been solid. Same brakes, replaced tires at 50K, just normal service other than that.

if plumbed to the outside. In LA that’s difficult as many are plumbed in a vent stack drain in the attic so there is no open end to attach a vacuum to
But why? I ask again, why the hell would they do that and how does that even work? Where does that water go out the roof?
