2002, UGA comes calling on Dennis Franchione and the high flying, but probation saddled, Crimson Tide.
This was not only my first game to watch in Tuscaloosa, but my first year really grasping the whole "College Football" as a second year pop warner veteran, haha. Been to countless game since, ups and downs, but that first one is still vividly in my mind, the hustle and bustle of GameDay in town, the feeling that hey, maybe this sanctions thing won't be so bad.
Had NO IDEA this has been uploaded for about a year.
My god how can something feel just like yesterday and 100 years ago?
What is your first Bama game memory? And is it on youtube too?

When we blocked the Penn State kick to win, sometime in the 80's.

We had a recording of the 92 LSU game on VHS. I especially remember the 10,000 "LIKE A ROCK" Chevy commercials that played during the game. I wore that tape out.

92 National Championship. I was 6. I’m sure I watched football before that, but I vividly remember that game as the first one I locked in and watched with my dad.
I even remember what he kept saying throughout that arse whipping. “They keep saying Alabama ain’t played nobody. After tonight we still ain’t played nobody.”
Besides that the game I remember fully knowing what was going on and what hooked me in as a lunatic was Shaun Alexander record setting game vs LSU in 96

Watching the 1993 Sugar Bowl with my grandpa I was in kindergarten or 1st grade.

My very first memory is watching a game and my mom pointing out Coach Stallings on the sideline fussing at referee. Next was my first time going to a game at Bryant Denny and I remember it was Vanderbilt and there only only one upper deck. I cannot remember which year. I was born in 90.

1959 Bama vs Memphis State. seems like yesterday, The punter from my high school Tommy White had the 5th or 6th longest punt in Bama lore of 81 yards following a goal line stand. Our seats were in the wooden bleachers in endzone.
Seems like last year.
Oh, and white headgears

Watching Alabama on television outscore Ole Miss and Archie Manning in a rare for the times night game. Coach Bryant was utterly disgusted by the lack of defense in the game.

The games of my childhood sort of run together so I can't really recall which one was first. As far as live games go, I recall watching us play Houston, Bowling Green, Southern Miss in what would have been the 1995-1998 time frame
I think my earliest memory period was us losing 20-19 to Arkansas in 1995. I recall exactly where I was for that one, and can't say the same for any from the 1994 season. I would've been 6 years old

2000 Iron Bowl in the sleet. My uncle privately told my dad that “that kid will never like football”

I was 12 when I moved to Tuscaloosa. Prior to that, though I lived in the shadow of USC (Trojans) I only watched pro sports. When I started school the fall of '79, I got swept into the "you've got to pick a team" rivalry between Bama and Auburn. I chose Bama. I attended many games before I graduated High School, and I was always struck by how nice our students dressed for games. I fell in love with the place - I couldn't help it

Joe Willie vs Texas on TV in 65. Paul Crane was on that team and I asked him did Joe score but he said I wasn't on the field. Joe swears he got in but the SWC crew said no. After the goal line officials signaled TD the ones ran in from behind the play and said no.

First game I remember physically attending was the 2000 Iron Bowl at Bryant Denny in 30 degree weather with rain and sleet. It was miserable, and also the last time our team was shut out in a game.
We attended a bunch of Alabama basketball games growing up (men's and women's), but I don't recall going to a lot of Alabama football games. That was an odd one for my dad to pick.

Loudest place I’ve ever been. Sat in the middle of the Miami section. Vividly remember them getting angry when we stood while on defense. My area was near empty by the end.

I can remember watching the end of the '85 Iron Bowl and my parents freaking out when Tiffin made the kick.
