They will most likely remove that 13th check soon too if I had to guess.

Better be for new hires !!

ETA- legislators are under similar plan
So not sure they would completely do away with. Like I say , fine for new hires but not me!

Finally, PERS has moved to 35 years for retirement for new teachers.

Have they moved it again? I retired after 25 years but everybody hired after 2011 , I think, had to do 30 years. Haven’t heard it was 35 now. Even at 30, it will deter people from going into the field
Can’t really hear it in football cause so far away but that is what has kept me out of baseball so far
I retired from teaching/coaching 3 years ago. Been officiating football ( High School, Jr High and even pee wee on saturdays ) Also work part time for a friends catering business 2-4 days a week with a flexible schedule . There are lots of things out there to do especially if you know a lot of people. Thinking about umpiring baseball as well this upcoming season too

Do you think they had any idea what could happen if things took a wrong turn?

Every coach in the country MAY lose their job

Thank you! There are a few coaches around the country I keep up with and KDB has been one of them. He is not Saban ( nobody is) but we have some entitled players on this team. It IS his responsibility to fix it though

I still think KDB is a good coach . I can take a loss but I just want to see more fire from him an accountability on the players . Hubbard ( who only played last year really under KDB) needs to be moved down the depth chart today and earn his snaps back. Jefferson the same . Put young ones in and take our lumps but you can’t let players feel entitled to their position . Worked under a coach who didn’t hold players accountable … doesn’t work . Bench is the greatest motivator

Well it nots his fault . Using that logic we might as well blame the president who hired Byrne

Man we have all gone crazy after one game  wouldn’t trade Byrne for anybody I can think of

Pretty sure Saban had ice cream trucks at practice some too

I KNOW I am in the minority , but I am not ready to give up on KDB. I am as pissed as anyone but I still believe the man can coach and he is an offensive mind and good recruiter . Changes need to be made and personnel choices have to be addressed but I still like the hire as bad as yesterday was :dunno:
Definitely not as smooth looking as it was at UW or Sheridan for that matter . Got so pissed at the 3rd and 15 or 4th and 8 play action fake plays , not to mention the route trees left a little to be desired . Hopefully it gets worked but we will see

U fortunately that is not the play. FSU was going the opposite direction . Looked like he didn’t even know where the ball was and just jogged after the RB blew by him
