Fwiw, I live here, and there is so much stupidity regarding this situation. Because he didn't instantly turn then around, the people who were against him being hired in the first place tried to push him out. They were defeated, but still kept coming. So he resigned because this situation is horrendo...
They were 1-9, he coached like he was there to live on the lake in the summer
Not necessarily wrong, but they were terrible before he got here. Won 3 games combined in the 2 years prior. Rebuilds take longer than 1 year, especially with a limited talent pool. ...
I live here. My understanding is that he realized they weren't going to let him do his job. It would be constant fighting and distractions. Which isn't good for the kids, so he decided to finally give in despite winning the vote last week. Some members of the community have this one completely w...
This is true but I always saw when he would do it as almost naturally clumsy. There seem to be some guys that kinetically don’t seem to be able to step without thinking no matter how much they drill. I’m not him or around him so obviously that’s just my assessment, but that’s how it always lo...

I disagree, there is technique to playing defense that can close the talent/athleticism gap. How to use your body, how to get wide, better timing, keeping your feet in good position...etc. A lot of the time with Walters I would see him overstep with the wrong foot and his man would immediately attac...
Sam in the portal
That is surprising, he is perfect for the system if he learned how to play better defense. And we've sustained success both as a program and putting guys in the league, so he should be motivated to stay. Wonder if that means Nelson is coming back. Because Walters ...
that's a very team friendly deal for a dude as good as Smitty....

Griff's effort was the issue. Not his talent or ability. It was hard to get him to up his intensity game to game. He was better in the tourney, because of his effort. But dudes still scored on him. We had a gap in our defensive lineup that he was the only guy who was able to fill it height/length wi...
The bag he's about to get says otherwise
yes, he is gonna get paid. But its not going to be anything outrageous. Hes certainly not sniffing a million, unless WWE invite him into their NIL partnership and that combines with other offers. I think people also need to remember the v...
Griffen is an elite defender.
The numbers suggest otherwise. We were worse defensively across the board when he was on the floor. He had games where he did well. But there is a bit of an illusion regarding his defense because he was the only guy his size who we could put on wings. ...

Pope is an underrated hire. I think he could be really good at UK. It doesn't move the needle, but he can coach. And with their resources anyone can recruit there. ...

Fieldof68 makes enough to support several writers, fwiw. And he also has a podcast with Robbie Hummel. But that Goodman tends to know more than our local doofus. I still think that's an extremely low and unlikely NIL number. ...

I disagree with him on politics, but he's a good dude. I've known since the al.com chat room days back in like 06/07. There's a few others floating around too. ...

I think we would look at Hodgson. Recruiting is half the battle in CBB, and that dude is pulling 4 stars to Arky St with no NIL. He is a truly great recruiter. Plus he would run the same system. ...

Man, I trust Oats. But still nervous that he would take the Kentucky job. That $18million is a big number to everyone, except them. Especially if Arky saves them the $33million to fire Cal. I'm sure we would match any salary offer, and he's proven he can win here and we've proven we will give him...

First, it needs to be noted that this is an extremely weak draft. I've heard NBA reporters say it's the worst one in the last 40 years, maybe ever. So teams are going to take more risks trying to find value. That being said, imo, yes. I think Sears can be a top 40 pick for a team that needs a che...
