I am sure I'll get downvotes, but.
He is from Indiana. They just won a title, had 3 WR drafted, and I'm sure are offering him quite a bit in NiL. Add all of those together and this doesn't seem like the massive upset most fans think it is.
I realize he grew up in Alabama, and was a fan of the school, but kids are easily impressionable, and there's quite a bit that would push him towards Indiana when he's living up there.
And of course, getting blown out absolutely didnt help. Especially when the offense we are trying to recruit him to play in, looked so ineffectual.

My question, that I haven't seen asked yet, is why did she deposit cash, and then ask for half of it back? She knew what she was doing, she may have acted cool about it, but she was trying to scam.
Also, you can still request $2 bills. My mom gives them out in birthday cards. She gives out a bill per year of age, so if youre 14, 14 $2 bills. Cant wait till I'm 100.

I appreciate this post for what it is

that answered the athletic questions. He never seemed close to that explosive.

Philon was listed at 6'4 and is 6'2 as well.
Heights are made up in sports. No one is actually as tall as listed. Bama gives every player 2 extra inches at minimum.
Only guy I can remember anywhere who was taller than listed was Kevin Durant. He called himself 6'10 because he didnt want to be a C, but its been pretty much confirmed hes over 7 foot. He and Wemby are fricking unicorns.
edit: I think this measurement confirms Allen comes back. His standing reach is the same as Philons....and hes 3 inches taller. Thats almost more damning than being 3 inches shorter than hes supposed to be. Hes a late first rounder at best with that profile, and I hate it for him. Honestly.
I really think his best bet is playing PG. Several of the top PGs in this class are roughly his size. Its gonna be tough to sell him as a wing. Especially since theres also athleticism questions.

If you want entry level, go vintage. I have somewhere around 75 nice vintage watches. 25 in my curio for display. Have less than $5000 invested in that 25, value is around $10k. Most expensive are a 50s Zodiac Moonphase, an Accutron Astronaut with og rally strap, and a 14k Universal Geneve dress watch. Paid less than $2k for all 3, worth around 5k.

I would argue the opposite. a) in football theyve been moving back to home and homes b) last years Duke/Michigan game in Feb was a MASSIVE success. Ratings were huge and it was a good game. Duke comes to Michigan this upcoming season. A lot of the neutral court tournaments early in the year are dying as well. Players era has taken over that space.
I know Nate was aware of the market before the portal opened, it didnt catch him by surprise. I honestly think Oats is looking at this completely different than we are. Top players in the portal, we tend to see the same 5-10 schools listed for them, but rarely is Alabama in that discussion. I think we were involved with only 2 of the top 15 transfers this cycle. 3 if you count Sherrell.
it cant be that we swing and miss on literally everyone, we have to be following a different evaluation measurement than the fans perceive.

re: Do you live in your favorite state in the US?

I've lived in Alabama, South Carolina, Ohio(3x), Virginia, Oklahoma, Tennessee, and North Dakota. We also currently own property in Washington and Pennsylvania.
We live in Alabama, and I really do enjoy it more than anywhere else we've lived. Especially while raising our kids.
PA has better weather, great food, and is wonderful as well. But I cant deal with a lot of their laws. Especially with what they are doing to small farmers and with their gun laws. A family member works for their state EPA and they actually get joy from shutting down family farms.
Not the family member, but her coworkers.
Washington has similar issues as PA, but its so nice to still have my grandparents house so we can fly out and visit a few weeks a year. Its truly beautiful out there.
I would love to live in Summerville, SC again at some point, if it werent for the fricking TRAFFIC
Last, but certainly not least. frick OHIO.

I think we all figured he would, be its good to go through the process and get feedback.
I really do believe he will be our starting PG next year.

whats weird is, multiple scouting reports have Jackson as a good run defender who loves to hit.
no idea wtf these people are looking at.

I think a team like Carolina will draft Lawson or Jefferson, they have nothing at ILB. Jefferson would actually fit their scheme better, imo. There was a run on TEs in the 3rd round, I think Ceuvas will go early today. Overton seems like a 4th rounder who will stay in the league for 10 years as a backup run stopping 5 tech.
Really suprised Brailsford wasnt drafted yesterday, he was a rock before he got hurt, and was still good playing on one leg. He could also go to Carolina, they need another C.

Jalen Reagor was 5'11 4.47.
Pearsall 6'1 4.41.
Jahan Dotson 5'10 4.43
all recent first rounders, just off the top of my head. guarantee theres more.
edit: those arent exact. But they are in the same rough range. Pearsall didnt have the agility Bernard has, neither did Dotson. actually, neither did Reagor, because he couldn't separate in the NFL.
JSN, who you just mentioned, dominated the NFL last year with a similar profile to Germie.

I really think he almost hurt himself by too good at too many things. He was seen as a bit of a "jack of all trades, master of none", except he is actually a master at all of them. I think he should have been a top 20 pick.

took a little longer for him to go than I thought it would. But 47th overall is still a great honor for a player.
We should have 1 more go tonight in Brailsford, probably in round 3, then several tomorrow.

when did I say ANYTHING about my expectations?
I am simply saying that you are miserable for being unable to enjoy what already occurred.

So, here's the thing, McVay looked perfectly happy when they called Simpson to make the pick. He had a big smile on his face. But controversy sells, so no one is talking about that.
It must suck to go through life being this fricking miserable.
18th straight year Bama has had a first round draft pick.
