Usually the editor comes with the headline not the person that wrote the article.

The article Headline should have “Murder Weapon retrieved from Brandon Millers car” Instead she decided to do what would get the most clicks and said “Brandon Miller brought the gun to Darius Miles”

I won’t nitpick your headline because I understand your intent, but even putting “murder” in the headline is a bit sensationalized without having gone through a trial.

A simple headline of “Miller Confirmed at the Scene of Shooting” would have piqued plenty of interest and allowed for an article that relayed any pertinent info without ruining the evaporating trust in media. But that shipped has obviously sailed.

thanks a ton.

and holy shite, there's a ton of info that I'd never read before.

here it is again, for those who also missed it...

quote:

Just for information the place of the shooting was on Grace St. one block off campus. Miller like so many young black men had a dash board camera, much like a ring door bell. Millers story matched the video from his car and the surveillance video in the area. The area, known as the Strip is loaded with surveillance cameras.

Just for information, when Miller got to the bar. He waited for Davis and Miles to come out. When they came out, Johnson, the other shooter pulled up behind Miller’s car and blocked Miller. Johnson had a loaded pistol and loaded magazine in his car. Johnson had left the bar earlier and by all accounts was waiting for Miles and Davis to leave the bar. Johnson started yelling at Davis, who was drunk and dancing in n the street. One of the females in the Johnson car handed Johnson the gun and Davis went and got Miles gun from the back seat. There were twelve shots fired quickly, four were fired by Johnson and eight by Davis. Two of the shots hit Davis, two shots hit Millers windshield and one shot hit the deceased woman. There are three videos of the incident. Miller stayed and gave the Police statements and a copy of his video . Davis and Miles left the scene and so did Johnson.

My version and Miller’s version are backed up by three videos. The University and the Athletic Department were briefed within a day.

Under Alabama Law the firing of a weapon into a car resulting in the death of an occupant can be Capital Murder.

Self Defense must be plead to the jury as a defense, which is why Miles and Davis have been arrested. It is unclear whether the deceased or the other woman in the car handed Johnson his weapon. There was a significant amount of drugs found in Johnson’s vehicle weapons and loaded cartridges. Johnson and Harris were 60 miles from their residence at 1:45 a.m. and they left the bar about about fifteen minutes before the shooting and waited in a parked car. Johnson says they were waiting because they were eating. Of course when Miles and Davis left the bar, Johnson pulled behind Miller, with Johnson’s lights off.

Video supports Miller’s Account. ESPN has now backed off the story, based on the video.

Hell!...even JQ looked quick!

This is a weird sentence to me, because JQ is FAR quicker than Sears, and has quicker twitch than Bradley too.

JQ turns the ball over too much. If he can cut that out he would be an even bigger asset to the team.

Wow. Just wow.

The truth just makes the rant, ESPN and all of these morons who acted like Brandon Miller was a criminal absolutely look like fools.

Also the part of the woman handing the other guy a gun???

So he doesn't get criminal charges for literally hunting down two drunk guys but they do for reacting to him???

I'm not saying he doesn't. But he has a specific skill set no one else on the team has. There are times we are going to have to live with some of his turnovers. Especially if Bradley doesn't learn to shoot asap.

You guys are now running with an unsubstantiated message board post in the same manner people were running with half truth news on the other end of this a few days ago.

Maybe if everyone just settled down and behaved like adults and stopped filling in the gaps that we don't know with whatever made them feel good and advanced the agenda they were pushing we'd be in a better spot with this horrific story right now.

They may have just been bitter, but when all the shite went down with Beard and his wife a bunch of Texas Tech fans said it was never a big secret in Lubbock that he's a raging alcoholic.
