re: Bama by the Numbers - IU

Ryan Williams dropped a sure fire touchdown pass in the end zone that would have made it 42-7. That game could and should have easily been much worse than what it ended up being. And we did it without Jam Miller in the lineup.
Niblack is physically talented but an idiot as well. I remember him live streaming on Instagram in the locker room after we had lose to Texas in 2023 at home. He was also constantly running the wrong routes during plays.
He has been very outspoken about the lights and their position in Oklahoma’s stadium.
I can’t stand Portnoy and his douche bag underling Brandon Walker.
They were literally trying to wish DeBoer to Michigan. They’ve been pushing that narrative relentlessly even though we all knew that it was highly unlikely to happen. Our program needs to treat some of these media outlets the same way they treat us. I feel like many of them have crossed the line.

I totally agree with you. Everyone knows my feelings about ESPN. The network and media in general hates our program like poison.
I’m not wanting cheerleading. A little objectivity would be nice though.

Joey Galloway: Indiana has been tested

He said this today during halftime of one of the meaningless bowl games. He never bothered to mention the gauntlet that our team went through during the season and the postseason thus far. Wouldn’t expect much less from a B1G homer.
Exactly. Why the media won’t just outright say this makes them lose credibility.

The line was very good the last 2.5 quarters at Oklahoma. The decision to have Carroll at right tackle and move Formby to guard seems to have settled things down. Also helps to have Dewberry healthy.
Sure because Jam has been banged up all season and we have been playing musical chairs on the offensive line for most of the season. Jam should be closer to full strength for this game as should Hill. We also seem to have settled on an offensive line rotation. Anyone dismissing what we did at Oklahoma the final 2.5 quarters is foolish. That was impressive.
Glorious seems to be hyping up IU and degrading us in every post. Makes you wonder.

The issue has been Jam Miller being banged up for most of the season. He and Hill are probably closer to full strength right now than they have been all season. It also seems like the offensive line has gotten more cohesive since the second quarter against OU.
Iowa certainly doesn’t have the raw talent of Georgia, Oklahoma, LSU or Auburn. Heck, even Missouri and Tennessee had talented players up front. South Carolina had a rugged defensive line.
I’m interested to see how Overton is doing. If he’s truly back to full strength and ready to go that’s massive. You could see his absence against UGA and Oklahoma. Keeley played very well against OU. But getting a player the caliber of Overton back is huge. Not just because of his talent but also the fact that we have three players to rotate at Bandit.
South Carolina may be a bad team overall but their defensive front had some dudes. Dylan Stewart is a beast. Even Tennessee and Missouri had some really good defensive linemen who could rush the passer.
It seems like every quarterback that we faced this season was dual threat. Ironically, the Wisconsin quarterback may have been the only pocket passer that we faced. I guess that you could throw Nussmeier in there. Everyone else was athletic.
It really is an amazing job that Cig has done with IU. The supposed talent discrepancy between them and the big boys like Alabama, Georgia, Ohio State and Oregon is cavernous. According to the 247 team talent composite, Indiana is ranked 72 in the nation in terms of recruiting talent. Georgia is 1, Alabama is 2, Ohio State 3 and Oregon 5.
