Condescension and bad takes gift wrapped in humor ain’t a good look. No one here needs any kind of defending as this is supposed to be a forum full of adults, but I will say I’ve always enjoyed reading your posts and missed seeing your thoughts while you were on sabbatical. FYI, Spending tim...
I’m not a big fan of Dawn Staley but she was killing it at Temple before USC. Not to mention she was also still playing when she first started coaching Temple. ...
Didn't know Clowney was starting for the Nets. Thought it was surprising when he declared. Guess he knew what he was doing.
His last two games he’s put up big numbers. And, Keon Ellis is starting right now for the Kings. It’s great to see these guys get in the league and get le...
Can’t believe this is the team did it either. Last year’s team and the ‘21 team were better, but this is the bunch that got over the hump.
I think this team is better than ‘21 overall - that ‘21 team was better defensively. And this years team has something more valuable than the ...

I’d say it was uncertainty with JQ maybe coming back and the obvious stress that would come with being involved with that incident. He may not be ideal in Oats system but he was tough and his shot was good enough. ...
also think fans value a new arena more than Nate does. As long as amenities for players and NIL remain competitive, I think he’s happy
Don’t these somewhat go hand in hand? You’ve got to have solid fan support to be competitive in NIL. An arena would go a long way in showing the u...

This team is just not good defensively. They don’t use leverage very well, they don’t slide to stay in front very well, they get picked way too easily - whether on the ball or chasing off the ball, they don’t read and react quick enough to get steals, they turn and watch the guy driving the ball cau...
This ‘let me storm the court because it makes me happy and feel important’ and ‘if you don’t let me have my fun you are a hater’ mentality is symptomatic of society today.
Considering that storming the field/court has been around for ages, I would argue that this notion that everyt...

There’s got to be an adjustment to the defensive philosophy. I was glad to see them abandon the useless press from early in the season, but they still try to play too aggressive and pick guys up 35 feet from the basket which allows straight line drives to the basket where Bama has practically no rim...
Put an amount of time on the scoreboard that allows the opposing team time to exit. If fans come before then you penalize the hell out of the home team. Loss of home games, loss of post season play, vacate the W, lose fans inside the stadium/arena for an amount of time, etc. You’ve got to protec...
While most coaches seem to be ambitious by nature, with all this NIL and portal stuff to contend with, I wonder if more coaches don’t just remain as coordinators where you can make a killing and avoid unneeded stress. ...

Keep the shorts, burn those jerseys. Old school jerseys should not be V-neck, and the TIDE should not be under the numbers like that - looks like a bad Walmart attempt. Do love the fact that they are at least attempting something new. Every blue blood in America has 3 or more uniforms these days...
Goodbread but shite take
It’s not necessarily a shite take but it does ignore that Oats has already shown a willingness to recruit outside his preferred style. Wague, Diabate, Pringle, Ambrose-Hilton, Rojas, and Hawkins either don’t shoot, get up and down the floor, or were just ...
inda tired of the refs theme. I associate with AHSAA and officiate basketball. The game is called pretty clean with the obvious blown calls. Human after all, all competitors in the same sense, but the bit is worn out, anti-ref. Kinda an important part of the sport we love. Without those who d...
OJ Howard was the first 5-star TE to come around since recruiting sites were a thing and we barely used him sans title games. It was the offense.
I don’t think the offense did him any favors, but based on his NFL career I’d say his lofty rankings had more to do with measurables th...
Oats was definitely wrong. If it was will wade, Bruce Pearl, or musselman we’d all agree. There was a better way to break it up than making contact with an opposing player. Hopefully it will be a learning experience for all involved.
I disagree with this. Had Pringle been sizing up...
