It's great to be an Alabama fan; both BIG sports ranked in top 10
Posted by Contra on 11/10/25 at 12:39 pm
Alabama basketball moved up to #8 in the latest AP poll released today. Football is of course #4. Got a real chance to be top 5 in both with a win on Thursday against Purdue.
Money losing sports.

As he should. LSU/Woodward agreed to this contract. They should pay him his full contract buyout. Woodward will forever be known as a stain on Louisiana State University.
Alabama is about to be top 5 in both if they beat #1 Purdue on Thursday. Basketball took down #5 St. John's at Madison Square Garden. Alabama's basketball schedule is a damn gauntlet.
Junk is impressive what Oats has been able to do:

Is that game on tv? McMahon has done a lot of terrible things for LSU. Maybe a real AD is finally going to axe him like he should have been last season. No reason for LSU to be at the bottom of the SEC like they've been. They're basically missing out on being part of this historic SEC run.

Oats is definitely not scared to play anybody, anywhere, anytime. It's exciting for the fans as it's big game after big game. And his record is pretty darn good too.
Indeed. If the guards get going, they might just get that revenge. St. John's had no clue how to stop them. If it weren't for them shooting 40 free throws, Alabama blows them out on their home court. That's the only reason they hung around.

Transitive property doesn't work with DeBoer teams. He either plays up or down to the competition and wins the majority of those games.

#1 Purdue is coming to Tuscaloosa on Thursday. If they win that game, they might move up to #1. They have a chance to be the only school with top 5 teams in both football and basketball. SEC basketball is gonna be fun again this season. Sucks Arky couldn't pull that off last night, but that is a tough environment to win in and they barely just came up short.

He got him on the arm. Should have been a foul.

I miss Windows XP so much. I'm going to get another XP system again one day for gaming. I kind of want to get a 95 system too just for nostalgia.

I don't know if Windows 11 would be an upgrade...... But hard to believe some people are still seeing this legendary startup screen:

Ancient technologies like Windows XP, Commodore 64, and legacy COBOL programs are still being used for all kinds of critical functions, and here’s another example to add to the list. The US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) still relies on Windows 95 and floppy disks for air travel, though hopefully not for too much longer.
NPR reports that the FAA wants to finally bring the United States’ aviation control system up to 21st century standards—and that means getting rid of floppy disks. The legacy storage format is still used in many air traffic control towers, in computers that still run on Windows 95. In some cases, paper flight strips are still used.

re: Watch out for USC / Lincoln Riley with respect to Kiffin

I think everybody is gonna be fighting for Kiffin only for him to shoot every one of them down. I don't see him leaving. Him and his wife got back together and they apparently love it at Ole Miss. He can get paid big there and not have enormous expectations. He's got it made.
Has Harsin tweeted yet?

He usually likes to tweet when something big goes down on the plains. That man is smiling right now.

Auburn fans were way off on that prediction. Husky Harsin is 19-3 against top 25 opponents and has his team in the drivers seat for a playoff berth. Now, Liberty Harsin was way more accurate.

The big names like Kirby, Day, DeBoer, Lanning, Cignetti, etc, are all locked up. Kiffin I don't think will be leaving either. Who the hell do you get? This is going to interesting to watch. It's a terrible spot to be in right now if you're looking.
Deion needs new scenery. I think he would kill at a bigger school with the right hires.
re: Amazing how quickly the narrative shifted on here regarding Will Wade

Will Wade got the last laugh after his AD completely threw him under the bus. There's no doubt the ones defending Woodward and the firing were on the wrong side of history.
