I’ll go on record immediately and say no. There is nothing that he seems to offer that other Republicans don’t offer that would help him overcome my disdain for him.

Also, fingers.

Depends on his platform and the platform of those running against him. All things being equal, no.

Well, I don't know much about where he stands on issues. I intend to vote for Mo Brooks or Gary Palmer should either of them run. But, if neither of them enter the race and I like his policy positions, I don't have a problem voting for him.

That doesn't make him my 3rd choice, either.

I'm just saying being a former football coach at the barn is irrelevant to me outside of football.

He was sleazy as a football coach so easy transition to Alabama politics. I don’t live in Alabama anymore so I don’t get a vote but unless his opponents are absolute obvious crooks, I’d have to pass

Jesus Christ, we have a lot of stupid in here to conflate football with politics.

I thought we were fricking smarter than LSU people.

Not a member of either party, but I imagine I'll vote for Jones again. He's been great so far and has been one of the most moderate senators.

No. Byrne and others would be much better options.

Really don’t care that he coached at AU. He’s just a sleazy person.

In general, I agree with most of his votes (although there were many that I don't have an opinion on). Specifically, his votes on abortion, the budget, net neutrality, federal sentencing and prison laws, ending US military assistance to Saudi-led military, repealing law allowing disclosure of less info by politically active non-profits, opposing the wall, etc.

I don't know anything about some of the appointment confirmations, farm bill, etc., so i have no opinipn on those (but I did agree with voting no on Kavanaugh after seeing Kavanaugh's testimony, but I didn't necessarily agree with Doug's reasoning).

just wait until Nick Saban retires and runs for office. We will see Alabama's immediate change back to a blue state.

In the primaries?

Not sure, don’t know enough about his politics.

Against Doug Jones?

Yes.
