He can’t recruit well. He needs to be DC only if he comes back.
He may actually flourish in that role.

fewer zone scheme concepts and more gap/man scheme concepts.
Yeah, this was an issue under Kiffin for a while, too. Made for a feast or famine run game.
I think we’re going to have to find very creative ways to get the ball to the boundary in this one. The defense will be leaned on, and on offense we need to get aggressive with quick sweeps, misdirections, and possibly bootleg plays for Ty.

I can assure you this would be the case. Because in order for this to work you'd have to dig up the ark of the covenant under the Denny chimes.

Whether it was due to laziness or he was trying to force a buyout Malzahn had to go.

He’d stopped recruiting OL completely.

He was bringing in sub average drop back passers and refused to run his base offense.

Their talent across the board had collapsed relative to the elite teams.

That was a dead program and the roster he left Harsin set them back 2+ years.
That all sounds right. I swear, he is the laziest coach I've ever seen. He'd only gameplan for like 3-4 games a season tops at Auburn. The opener, LSU, Bama, Georgia.

If and that’s a BIG IF Kiffin leaves Ole Miss it’ll be to LSU plain and simple. He’s not going to UF over LSU get real.
I tend to agree, but boy would the melt be nuts if this happened.

Legacy behavior.

Herman was at the Houston game today celebrating the 10 yr anniversary of his 2015 Houston team. Was able to attend because he’s unemployed. Got booed. He’s only 50.
Okay, never mind. Riley is admonished. Aside from being an assistant at Penn State, this is as close as you get to being on the sex offender registry just by coaching a college football team.

Tom Herman dropped like a lead weight.
Oh yeah, good point.
He has been on perhaps the most demonstrable downward spiral over a 4 year tenure of all time and has greatly benefited from the fact that nobody gives much of a frick about USC football. His play calling has been made. His weaknesses glare.
I don't think Kelly is viewed as favorably. Franklin never put out on a hit on a kid in a tower.
Would like to see Grubb try to truly open things up over the top on their back 4.

Now, if he beats us, they'll be on board. Short of that, I can't imagine him returning. They might frame it as something else, but he's getting canned.
So sad.

Sir, this board is for the LSU coaching search and/or crying about the Governor being retarded.

Please move to Food/Drink board.

Yea he’s basically Bobby Deniro trying to kick someone in a movie at this point.

List all the coaches that have coached in a playoff game.
Well that list does include BK :dunno:
Yeah, this hire would make a lot of sense. Is there any interest in retaining Knowles?

I think the culture stuff ended up being a huge problem.
Which is funny, because I remember all the talking heads laughing it off when he was hired because "winning was its own culture." I suppose that's true to an extent, but some of the same jokers in the podcasts are acknowledging culture issues as a big reason for why BK didn't get much mercy in addition to big game flops.
