What do you guys think of John Merrill and him potentially throwing his name in the US Senate race? He said he expects to announce by Memorial Day.

I'd vote for Tubberville before I would Merrill.

So Byrne has spent the bulk of his campaign kissing up to Trump, but Trump doesn't like him because he spoke out against him after the Access Hollywood tape, and Trump likes Tubberville. Meanwhile, Roy Moore is getting closer to throwing his hat into the ring.

I thought the Democratic Party in this state was the one with major issues, but if the GOP screw this one up...

FTR, I don't think they will. Straight ticket voting in a Presidential election year will give them a decisive victory. But still interesting to watch unfold.

I really hope no one is stupid enough to vote for Moore in the primary. He's the only candidate that would lose to Jones. If the nominee is anyone else, Jones is toast given that the conservative turnout will be much higher in a Presidential year as well as his vote on Kavanaugh.

His constituents are the true believers that think he’s a combination of Jesus and Patton. Add to that base the morons that think voting for Moore is a way to “piss off” the establishment. Moore will always have 20-30% of the GOP Primary voters.

Hopefully, everyone consolidates behind Byrne so Moore doesn’t even make a runoff. Then maybe that clown will finally get the message that nobody wants him around. Amazing how he’s like a cockroach that just won’t go away.
