Will happily take Glenn as a full DC

It only makes sense we offer him the job now. We almost have to. We had one coach worth keeping and we let kirby cherry pick him ?

These optics are really bad.

How does TRob walk this fast ? Was he not even allowed to interview ?

This was the only thing i was worried about with DeBoer- simply does not understand the south. Connections at these schools matter.

This is not a good start. How do you let the best DB coach/recruiter in the country walk ?

Schumann better be coming home

Absolutely. Y’all are funny. Let DeBoer do what he sees fit for this program. Have some patience and let him do his thing. Y’all are freaking out about imagined scenarios.

I'm still wondering why everyone thinks this guy is so great. He was a position coach for us. I didn't have any specific complaints with him, but I also don't think any of us knows what results on the field he was responsible for.

I know we want recruiters that are familiar with the south. I think Deboer understands that.

It’s also a matter of keeping our current players and recruits. If he brings in everyone knew that will hurt our chances there

Per on3, the Georgia offer was on the table and TRob wanted DeBoer’s commitment last night. When it didn’t come, he bolted.

You know this? You’re in the locker room? You’re speculating. Damn our fan base is annoying as hell sometimes. Quit regurgitating all this bs you’re seeing. Patience. Let him have his first PC. Then let him have spring. Dude knows what the hell he’s doing.

How are you still wondering this? He was really solid for us on both the recruiting and player development fronts. Kirby just promoted him to Co-DC. It’s no secret he’s a good guy to have on staff. I’d bet he ends up being a solid DC down the road.

If TRob had to have a commitment from DeBoer last night, then bye dude. That’s pretty unreasonable.

Lol... both our corners that he coached are about to go in the first round of the nfl draft.

Completely agree. TRob probably isn’t going to improve UGAs D by a large margin, so who cares if he goes there.

DeBoer needs to bring in whoever he is comfortable with. Sounds like TRob didn’t allow much time after the hire to move in.

Of course I’m speculating. But of course it would make complete sense for at least some players to leave if they’re playing for an entirely new coaching staff. It’s the whole reason why the portal opens for them

So Glenn just gonna stay a half-DC?

Also doubt none of the Washington coaches are just foregoing all coordinator vacancies across the country to stay position coaches at Bama

If I’m Saban I’m encouraging DeBoer to contact Schumann

Obviously losing T-Rob from a recruiting perspective hurts. Wondering if he wanted to stay in the Saban defensive system.

Obviously moving to Georgia does not move the needle like him moving to other places.

Great hire for GA for sure they were going to be a monster with or without him

Telling sign will be if DeBoer decides to switch us to a 4-2-5, or stays in the 3-4

This must be a first for a Saban team.

Hes one of the most elite recruiters in the country who happens to also be a great position coach. Those dont grow on trees. He will cost us recruits on the trail - dont be surprised when he steals some big ones out of the state of Alabama. Maybe even RW
