I guess that answers the question of whether or not DeBoer keeps him.

DeBoer will likely bring his whole staff. Everyone may as well get onboard.

I’m assuming one of Glen or Muschamp is leaving?

I’m not sure what makes you think that if DeBoer is bringing his entire staff.

Don't count on it. DeBoer is likely bringing his entire staff.

Unbelievable.

There was only one coach worth keeping and Kirby cherry picked him.

You would think someone would have explained how important he was to recruiting down here, and our DBs have never played better.

WTF they cant have 3 co DCs ? Can we hire Schumann to come home ?

Damnit. So 3 DC’s now unless Muschamp or Schumann leave.

Well, this kind of sucks, but gotta let CKD make his own calls.

This fanbase is going to have to have some level of patience with the new guy.

Kirby is Saban now, before the point where he couldn’t hire anyone he wanted.

At Washington, DeBoer had two co-defensive coordinators: Bill Inge and Chuck Morrell. Their defensive numbers aren't eye popping at all, but they did have timely defense the four times I watched Washington this year (both games against Oregon and both playoff games). I've also said before that I was surprised to see the adjustments they made against Michigan.

It looked like they were getting blown off the ball in the first quarter and I honestly envisioned a massive blowout. I was in the game thread lamenting how PAC 12 teams just played no defense. But then they changed some things up and held Michigan to just two field goals for the next 30 some minutes. Like Bama in the Rose Bowl, they forced Michigan into a long string of three and outs.

So overall assessment of the two DCs at Washington is that they looked pretty solid but nothing phenomenal. DeBoer is definitely an offensive minded coach, which will be a culture shift for all of us. We were an offense first team from 2018-2022, but the culture from the head coach was obviously still defensively minded.

Yep. Saban was allowed to run his program how he saw fit, which is part of what made it all work. We don’t need any meddling boosters or shite like that. Let DeBoer build it how he wants it and see how it shakes out.
