It hasn’t affected me at all, but I can see that people complaining about it on the internet has really, really affected you

It seems that no one notices pride as much as conservatives/maga. I know it’s a really hard month for them

Libertinism is no way to sustain a country or culture
And neither is asceticism or puritanism. All I’m saying in this thread is all in all this is still a good place to live, and I believe will stay that way if people get involved in their communities and work together to solve problems.

Exactly because I live in a country where I’m free to do so, and that’s a pretty great thing.

Stopping birthright citizenships would have been a solid start.
It would have been something. I’m not really arguing for birthright. Just saying that I believe being American still means something.
And the best thing that could happen as Americans is more people become engaged with their local communities and do what they can to make it a better place. That’s how we change things imo. I’ve long given up on the government and a-hole politicians to do anything worthwhile. What makes this country great is the everyday people coming together. Maybe I’m wrong, but I still think that is possible.

Paxton is a total scumbag. Not shocking people aren’t chomping at the bit to vote for him.

A safe walk down the street would be nice..
That is a sad story, and I hate it happened. In an ideal country none of that would ever happen, but we don’t have that. I still say life here is pretty great comparatively. Unfortunately there will always be bad things that happen in any society. We should definitely be doing more to address it

To me being American means loving my family, supporting my community and coming together across differences to solve problems. Sorry if you don’t identify with those things. I’d encourage you to look around your local community for them.

Wanting any non citizen of child bearing age to submit monthly pregnancy tests to the government is pretty nuts in my book.
