He made some good adjustments around end of 2nd quarter and things improved. Overall D played “ok” certainly not great.

Russell is a great athlete but he’s going to throw a lot of picks against any good defenses we play. Our O line is picking up where it left off or worse. D looked good I think they will be our strength this year.
Team is young and may come together late in the year. Just got to hope they can find a way to win the close ones because they will be in a fight for their lives more weeks than not.

I’m right hand with everything except swing I’m Lefty. To me the leading hand/arm is the right with a lefty swing so it’s more natural imo.

This year will tell what we got with DeBoer.
If we make progress from last year he’s the guy for the foreseeable future. If we take a step or two back from last year however, the pitchforks will be around every corner. Fair or not that’s how this will go.

Gastritis is a very common side effect of heavy NSAID use. It’s more likely, since he lost all that weight, he had a gastric ulcer actually on top of the gastritis. Really he had a back problem and everything else was down stream of that. Really sucks because he was on fire up until about midway through the mizzu game.
As far as the howling about malpractice goes narcotics and a bunch of other stuff are banned so there isn’t much choice in what’s allowed. Ty probably wanted to play and for all we know was told Not to take nsaids but he took them anyway. They are OTC. Wish him the best in NFL.

O Line is going to be bad next year
We lost our best dump off pass catcher TE Cuevas
Grubb will be running those slow developing routes
Not sure how anyone thinks this is a good situation for any new QB to have much success.
9-3 would be quite the job by the coaches

We are returning less next year than we have in at least 15 years. We are very thin at O line while also being highly inexperienced. We are going to have a brand new QB learning on the fly. WR room is very thin as well. D Line not great talent.
This is the kinda team where you see the value of your coaches. If this team is good as a unit we got some good coaches on staff.

In the playoff era preseason ranking is pointless. With the schedule bama has next year lose 2 or less and you are in.

CFB is fundamentally changed from a bunch of guys who loved their school, played for bragging rights, and a chance to go make a bunch of money in the pros into a bunch of variously paid mercenaries who only care about the “me” in team. College in a large way was fun because you got to watch a fierce competition for big nfl lottery contracts from guys with nothing. Now you get to watch 20 year old millionaires play a game while looking distracted and disinterested half the time.

Expectations are already on the decline around here. If we make the playoffs most years the sunshine pumpers will tell us we are unreasonable to want to run off DeBoer if he is without a title in 10 years.

Outside of T Lawrence, Jameis Winston no recent 1st year starter young QBs have won a championship. Tua / Cordell jones both came on late and won a championship in a handful of games or less.
Basically if Russel is a generational talent we got a shot and if not playoffs is about The best we can hope for. That’s what makes it fun I guess.

We couldn’t afford cam Coleman so is what it is. If the top 4 remain healthy we are fine but if 2 of them get hurt it will cost us some games unless we figure out the run game in a big way.
