quote:Guy who was watching played college ball. It wasn’t a “hey he showed flashes but clearly isn’t in shape or familiar with the system” type of criticism. Basically whoever he was guarding went right at him and scored easily every time, and the body language of everyone else on the court when he had the ball or was guarding someone reflected some frustration.
Noah Williamson is suppose to look lost and slow at this point lol! Can we allow guys to get acclimated to our playing style and conditioning? I can assure you...it's not going to happen overnight for some.

quote:I wasn’t able to make the camp this year but I can confirm from someone who is there. TBB is going to make a huge impact on both ends.
Both videos from the discord. Apparently Bethea had a rough day today a lot of his shots were rimming out and he was getting frustrated.
He also said that Williamson looks absolutely lost and extremely slow. Hopefully it’s just a new system and he’ll adjust but he said he looked “practice squad bad”.
Our frontcourt is going to be razor thin if he can’t contribute any meaningful minutes.

Yep, if I came home with a minivan for my wife things would not be kicking in the bedroom.

quote:Sherrell is a good rebounder. He averaged 13.0 boards per 40 minutes, behind only Cliff at 13.6 and Mo at 14.8. We've just got to keep him healthy and out of foul trouble. I think TBB will help a lot here.
Yup, I’d say the key to this team is Sherrell toughening up a bit on the boards and getting a lot better on help defense.

quote:It's not really this at all. I know what the median household income is in my CDP (which feeds the local school). I know I make more than that, have the advantage of a mortgage payment that's based on pre-2020 craziness, and utilize the local public schools (which are good). Given that and the proportion of families in the area who clearly live well above our standard (i.e. constant vacations, kids in private schools, two new $80k+ vehicles, etc.), I can only conclude that 1) many of those families are saving almost nothing; 2) more people are living on inheritance than I ever realized; or some combination of 1) and 2).
I love how some on the OT cannot fathom that there are people who make a lot of money and buy expensive things with their high income.

re: Has anyone ever tried to dig to the center of the earth?

quote:Circumference = pi * diameter
I'm no scientist but how could the center of the earth, which is just short of 25k miles in circumference, be only 4k miles to the center? Wouldn't the center be 12k miles or so deep?
25k = 3.14 * diameter
Diameter = 8k
Radius (distance to center) = diameter/2
Radius = 8k/2
Radius = 4k

All the people complaining about no mega market team being in the finals can get bent. That game was cinema.
re: What’s the real reason for Trump/Elon divorce?
Posted by TideCPA on 6/5/25 at 3:43 pm
It's because [Trump][Elon] was only in it for himself and his masters, he never really cared about the country. And once [Elon][Trump] figured that out, their partnership went south. Now [Trump][Elon] needs to hold his ground and don't let the other back him down. Ultimately [Trump][Elon] is in it for little guys like us and isn't controlled by the shadowy puppet masters who control everything currently, and we need to support him unconditionally against rats like [Elon][Trump], because he's the only thing between us and certain doom.

Couple videos posted in discord of practice. Bristow defense looks really good. Williamson is a step slow.
Good to know about Bristow. If he can give us Mo D minutes and effort with his athleticism, we should be in good shape as long as everyone else stays healthy in the frontcourt.

quote:He was definitely 7'0" in shoes last summer. I watched him get measured in the locker room.
And Sherrell at the 5, insists he is now a tad over 7'0 and 250 lbs. He said the common listing of 6'10", 220 is wrong

Be very curious to see how we approach the pitching decisions. Miami was not a great offensive team this year.
